Hey everyone! I feel this is close enough to release to deserve a thread. As you may have seen on development screenshots or Community meshslaps I've been working on a 3 door Vivace. As this is my first mod progress is quite slow. Also, I had a lot of help from the community and I'm very thankful for it. Roadmap - Finish jbeam issues and last touches of the model Done! - Add rear glass Done! - Create configs Done! - Release beta Done! https://www.beamng.com/resources/cherrier-vivace-dynamique.12134/ - Start working on the wide body - Release that - Start working on unique parts for the coupe Pictures of the mod atm This was my first render of the mod on photoshop. The model currently looks like this. Here's how it's looking in-game. (I need to figure out the shadows on the rear) Jbeam still needs a lot of work. This is what's stopping me from uploading it to the repo. UPDATE: Fixed the rear windows! Credits: @xx_epix_x - Base 3 door model and roof modeling @Kueso - Lots of JBeam help @Car_Killer - Lots of UV help @Dummiesman @Ai'Torror @TrackpadUser and everyone on the MFD discord - General help with jbeam and blender @jerrie - Fixed the rear windows from falling off the car @The Shotty - General blender help @SuperAusten64 and everyone on The Glitch server - Great guy and friendly community Me - Model overhaul and getting it into beam BeamNG devs - Base Vivace model Thanks to everyone who helped me create this mod!
Thanks! I started this on thursday and i never used blender before. The first release won't look amazing but I'm doing my best.
Probably too difficult for me and my bad blender and jbeam skills, but I can try --- Post updated --- Windows are completely fixed!
I feel like the wheelbase needs to be shortened ever so slightly to account for the huge space where the rear door was, but that might just be me.
Making a sedan would be easy, especially because you already have the side reference photos and the vivace built.
Yeah they added a lot more detail into this car Im using the I5 from the vivace in a project https://gyazo.com/7ec712c0e93cace379e4825ea838dc45
Nice! I kinda miss when three-door hatches were more popular, for example how Audi stopped making a three-door A3.
Or maybe the doors to be lengthened ever so slightly as that’s what car manufacturers usually do as changing the chassis/wheelbase is far too expensive for a car like this
They have been lengthened tho. The only thing that's preventing me from releasing this car is the jbeam, so if anyone wants to help shoot me a PM --- Post updated --- Looking good
Modern hatchbacks have the same wheelbase for both two-door and four-door configurations. He's already lengthened the doors, and they look about the right length to me.
