    I think it's, in a way, both.

I imagine it having not just the open-top versions we see in-game, but also a hardtop variant without the rollbar, as well as long-wheelbase 2- and 4-door SUV and pickup variants. Also some diesel engines, too.

But then it wouldn't match a Wrangler would it? Your oh-so-precious Wrangler basing quote?

It's Japanese, so it already doesn't.

The Land Cruiser itself traces back to the original Jeep Willys anyway...

Since the pigeon doesn't have a thread anymore, I'll post this here:
considering that the early vehicles are probably in the beginning stages of overhauls, one body style I think that could be added to the pigeon is a step-van. like this mira, but with one wheel in the front.

when you think about it, the pigeon's not designed to go that fast, so this would make (some) realistic sense as to why it would exist. for gameplay, the raised centre of gravity would also make it really funny to drive.
you could even go the route of 60's american vans, and give it a more "cab-forward" design, by moving the seats to be either side of the front wheel.

Ehh, I doubt it. The Hopper is somewhat a recent addition, so it might not get any more parts, especially something this big

Not gonna lie, the dragster version is kinda hard to drive lol. I'm surprised there's no wheelie bar available like on the other dragsters?

The Hopper doesn’t even have the same body style as a GMC Jimmy let alone the same suspension and engines. It’s a totally different car. So your answer would be a no.

He is not talking about a GMC Jimmy, he is talking about a Suzuki Jimny.

although the hopper is also a fair bit larger than the jimny (it's closer to a j40/70 landcruiser or a TJ wrangler), so you'd have to shrink the entire thing.

again, posting about the pigeon since it still doesn't have it's own thread:

something that's annoyed me for quite some time is the pigeon's rear bumper.
Firstly, most commercial japanese trucks of this size don't have rear bumpers, instead they have the taillights either slung under the tailgate, or mounted on a panel below the tailgate so that they are either flush with the edge, or inset.

another peculiar point about the pigeon is that it has a moulded tub with only a rear tailgate, made out of plastic, rather than a metal dropside tray like most IRL trucks, making it not very useful for work.
even the diahatsu midget, a somewhat analogous vehicle, doesn't have a rear bumper at all.

and while the mightyboy does have a rear bumper, it likely only has it due to its unibody construction (damage is harder to fix) and that it's car-based.

the weird part is, with the rear bumper, the pigeon exceeds the 3.2 metre length restriction on kei cars of that era, but without it, it just about fits in (see the yellow square for the required kei car length).

But Zoll, according to the devs, Beam isn't an automobile history simulator. Who cares about bumpers and signals and engine displacements and all that? The Pigeon's perfectly realistic, even as a kei truck, because it was never meant to be a kei truck except it was? because vehicle content in BeamNG...err...IDK, I don't do Devspeak. (/sarcasm)

However, I do agree with all of this. The Pigeon could stand to be a more useful vehicle in BeamNG, and removing the rear bumper and changing the bed to be more period-correct (and more additions, like 4-wheel versions, 4-lug hubs, and turbochargers for the diesel engine) would help with that.
