Title is self-explanatory. This old processor is clocked at 2200Mhz and has 2 threads and cores. Would this run beam at all?

Run? Probably. You'll get a notification at startup reminding you a quad core CPU is required for optimal performance.

Game will likely be unplayable though.

Yeah, certainly. This old pos needs to go. Almost every game is unplayable except maybe games from 2000's.

BeamNG will look like a slideshow on that. Single digit FPS, if it even runs. Also, GPU wise, you probably won't even be able to run the latest version.

minimal system requirements are: i3-6300 or fx-6300, pentium B960 is 200% slower then i3-6300, so...

Oh yes, perfect is (from Intel) is i5-9400f or i3-9100f (It hasn't integrated graphics). This is my opinion, or you can wait for i5-10400f (it's going to be released in may)

İ have done some research, and i think the gpu will be the main bottleneck here. Wish i could run eGpu,but the notebook doesn't have thunderbolt port either. Sigh..
    730m is just not good..

Protip: Anything ending in 30 from Nvidia is an entry level weak GPU. Sometimes they have even lower models to. I would advise getting ones that end in 50 at minimum.

the cpu is pretty decent, gpu is an issue but you could still do egpu with mini pcie slot with an EXP GDC or something like that but prob not worth time and hassle

İ just calculated the bottleneck and it's 100%.
Question is,why did they equip such a good cpu with shitty gpu? I don't get it man, whatever. This will be my Uni laptop, and i may run games like prostreet, carbon etc. without hassle. But i'm not sure with beam. Maybe lowest settings?

i mean back in the time when that laptop was released the 730m was still half decent in terms of mobile gpus, I used to use a hand me down with an i7 3632QM and GT 540 and boy did that bottleneck
but the 540m is half of a 730m so

At least i'm happy that i got a good laptop for a reasonable price(laptops are very expensive in my country). Like, for the price of this, i was only able to get lenovo 330 and it had an intel celeron in it
