Good to see the shadows aren't transparent anymore, but was the shadow resolution lowered for this update? Would also like to know if there's any plans for higher res interior shadows
I don't know what's wrong with my sound, but with this new update the transition between RPMs aren't soft. They sound like escalated. I don't know how to explain it as my english isn't that great either so I made a video:
I am getting error BeamNG.drive 0.19.0.0 0xC0000417 STATUS_INVALID_CRUNTIME_PARAMETER all the time now. Tried fresh install, safe mode etc. Nothing works.
Bug Report - Vivace Engine Thermals Odd Behavior Everything tested in safe mode. Several of the Vivaces engines take cylinder wall damage when the cylinder wall temperature reaches 120 degree C. They take this damage even though neither the engine coolant nor the oil is overheating at this moment. This is a bit insidiously as there is zero indication that you are damaging your piston rings and cylinder wall at this temperature as neither the coolant is boiling nor anything else indicates that is something wrong beyond a very high - but non yet critical engine temperature. Also on all engines the oil warning symbol appears at 130 degree C oil temperature even though by the engine thermal debug app oil temperature only becomes yellow at 140 degree C and overheats at 150 degree C. This means that unlike in reality where driving with the oil warning lamp on results in catastrophic engine damage within seconds you - in theory - could drive countless kilometers with the oil warning on because the oil actually survives 130 degree C without any issues in the game. The game full speedometer app also turns the cooling temperature symbol red at 115 degree C while for the Vivace, the digital gauge display turns red at 110 degree C. 1.2L I3 - Yes 1.5L I4 Diesel - No 1.6L I4 - Yes 2.0L I4 Diesel - No 2.0 I4 - Yes (Side Note: The High Perfomance Radiator on the Vivace S310 Arsenic feels overkill..... it withstands a stationary full power tests for an extended period of time) 2.0 I5 - No and Cylinder Wall damage at 130 degree cylinder wall temp. (Not visible in this video) Oil warning at 130 degree C oil temperature. From my overheating tests in the past with other cars, I believe that it is impossible to achieve cylinder wall damage before the oil overheats at 150 degree C. PS: Before doing those tests, I thought that the Vivaces coolant temperature gauge was bugged.... it was only when doing those tests and looking closely I realized that the middle area of it is white and the lower blue area is cold. EDIT: I just wanna say again how glorious and realistic those engines sound.
oil temperature warning is different to oil pressure warning light. You have seconds to react to a low oil pressure light, but oil temperature is less catastrophic.
The standard-length Roamer body has two slots for the shifter in the part selector, one under the dashboard where it should be and one under the body where it was in previous versions. It should be known that the extended body does not have this issue.
I don't know if the problem is already solved, but if it isn't, here some more content. So I was playing and I was at about 20 km/h and making a turn (not a sharp one) and the ESC start to have the same problem again. I tried to recreate it under the same conditions but I didn't get there. But later I experience the same problem and I managed to get the recording. I don't know if it useful, but here is the same problem under more "normal" circumstances. I can provide the full recording if needed. We need a baguette part to go under the windshield on the gendarmerie version
Not just the patriot skin as it seems like the Sleeper no longer supports skins. Is this a bug introduced with v0.19? I think so, didn't have that in v0.18. Would like to see this fixed.
Sometimes on Italy, some of the streets where you drive the contents of the mini map disappear. This seems random and yet it concerns specific areas. Maybe some points are missing between different intersections?
Window bug is still present. Full screen on 2nd monitor, you click on a window on the primary 1st monitor, and BeamNG will switch from fullscreen to windowed. This does not happen in borderless window mode. It would be nice to be fixed so fullscreen works correctly, because I get a lot more performance via that method (less microstutter)
