The new sounds show how much potential this car has because the model is bad (compared to other cars) but the sound is undeniably the best engine sound of the game
Inb4 Nathan24 says "I want a 50's pickup, a british roadster, and a prewar car" and posts three images of them like we don't all already know what they look like
I remember requesting a 50's pickup on here. I also remember having that text wall post about how I didn't think the Vivace would come. Thank God Srockzz called me out on that.
1. What modding contest? Link please. 2. Theory: The developers initially didnt plan to release the update before Easter. I was suprised they did. However with the corona virus crisis being in full force and germany basically being under full lockdown, they decided to release the update earlier than initially planned so that people - who have to stay at home alone - have at least something to enjoy and spend time with. So they released it at least 1 or 2 weeks earlier than they might have planned. Circumstantial evidence: The D series both new and old has an above average number of typos. Those are precisly the kind of errors that are likely to happen when you one have to write a crap ton of new descriptions and dont really have time to review them. I would assume that the Vivace was pretty much ready already but the D-series reworks partially feels very very rushed. It also feels like a really bad idea to release the update in the week before easter.... where you only have 4 working days followed by a long weekend and a week with again just 4 working days. If you realy want to release an update in this week.... you wanna do that on Monday.... but they didnt. Which might indicate that it still needed significant work on Monday and even Tuesday. I am very grateful that they released it then... but I could easily imagine that this date was not their initial plan. So with the update being out possible at least 1 - 2 weeks early... and thankfully appearantly not any serious gamebreaking bugs for most users.... they now might have had a bit more relaxing work schedule after quite possibly spending a few nights in the office to get it done before easter. Since nothing is seriously broken, they may also take their time and fix most of the issues in one big patch. There also might be some more features and content incoming.... especially the remaining new ESC/Driving mode magic.
I think this might be one of the longest times that a update has come out without have some sort of hotfix. Unless they might have something special in store for us.
considering they've added the facelift to the D series with the revamp, I'd be interested to see a more extensive '75 facelift for the moonhawk. the landau top is an absolute must, but making the car generally boxier looking, by means of the blockier bumpers and the more straight-edged tall taillights, which would fit in in place of the existing tailcone, completes the "half-assed personal luxury coupe" look.
just a strip speedo, a sedan and a single exhaust then life is complete oh and a bench seat too for good measure by the way that looks really good but I think the roof line is way to square, it looks like the oldsfullsize mod coupes. Too 80's looking
The way I see it, if you're going to redo the rear end to make it a personal luxury coupe you may as well go all the way. Keep the Bruckell Moonhawk as sporty-ish car and have a Soliad version with different bodywork/engines/interior that fully embraces the personal luxury car concept. Not to go full Moonhawk suggestion mode, but this is another one that could get a lot of body styles. Hardtop/pillard sedan & coupe, wagon (muscle wagons are cool), and ute (first four wheeled pickup that isn't the D-Series. Plus it's a completely different size class pickup, which would be nice). I really hope Soliad gets renamed, that name does not fit with the current game...
I want a late 50's Burnside. Go all out with the late 50's luxury sedan stereotypes. Twin headlights, Great Lakes destroying amounts of chrome, tasteless rocket fins, Continental kit, and a tasteless phallic (the 1953 Burnside has one) bonnet ornament. Oh and an 80's Grand Marshal, it would mostly only require a new body, as the panther body mostly had the same chassis from the late 70's through to when they did major changes in 2003. so development won't be as hugely time consuming as developing a new car from scratch. There are a lot of things I want in this game.
TASTLESS, Tastless. How dare you insult Virgil Exner, but otherwise i couldn't agree more, though i'd hope it would be a Bruckell and on that note If the beam team does add a late 50s car I just hope it doesn't have that awful '55 and '57 chev styling (I like '56s) but there interiors are ok. Something along the lines of anything not chevrolet would do very nicely
