First question: - In L3DT "operations>heightfield>change vertical range" - In Beam after selecting import height map change the height scale (default is 256m). Second question - Copy your .ter to you level folder, then open you .mis and find it in there, then change the directory that it is looking for it to your map folder.
If you could find some sort of image with contour lines instead of a satellite picture ( have a look at the OS setting on Bing maps to get an idea of what I mean) I believe it is possible, but im not sure exactly how. Google is your friend haha
I got the map made but when i change the map like edit the terrain through the editor it looks good but when i go to play the game i fall right throught it!?
Try exiting the level (after saving of course) then quiting beamNG and re-loading it all. Sometimes it bugs when it has to much to think about.
When ever I try to add the map it says Terrain import failed! Check console for error messages!!! I want to make a map but i can't because of this error I have tried to update the game and I don't want to try to reinstall because they takes along time.
Your heightmap must be in a resolution that is power of two. 256x256 - 512x512 - 1024x1024 - 2048x2048 an so on.
Oh ok. Thanks Nadeox. I will probably just restart this map. - - - Updated - - - I seriously cannot make a flat map: This is hard. What am I doing wrong? All I want is a flat map. I should get in contact with the creator of: http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?id=albert+park+gp4 Maybe I can port that over.
Click on import highmap, then change the high scale from 256 (or something like that) to 0. Gesendet von meinem GT-I9300 mit Tapatalk
When I try to import the heightmap to the editor it says "Terrain import failed! Check console for error messages." What do I do?
Find the torque 3d log in tue beamNG directory and paste what the it says here (if its really long put in a pastebin and give me the link). Ill have a look am d try and sort it. Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
Can somebody help me? I've been trying to put down roads, but they keep on ending suddenly, and there's this weird line that runs through the map, from the start of where there is no road, to the other end...
This happens to me sometimes. Just delete the road and start again but after placing 15 or so points stop that one ans create a new one lined up with the previous. Its not a fix as such but more of a work around Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
