Chevrolet is an American brand, and it's a straight-up French name.

Also, the Aveo is 100% a Daewoo - in 2002, the "Chevrolet Aveo" was called the Daewoo Kalos. It was designed and engineered 100% by Daewoo. The Aveo sedan you posted didn't even look like that until 2010. What is "American" to you? A crosshair grille? A big nose? The Aveo went nearly 6 years looking like this:

    This car is a 2004.

Also.....it's a game. The car getting done is secondary to any name. The name is the least of any worries.

It does sound quite English, though.

It's literally a French name. Louis Chevrolet was French-Swiss.

Either way, it doesn't matter. I'm focused on getting the car done rather than obsessing over trivial stuff, like a name.

Lots of French naming is similar to English.

    Touox, however, is not.

Uh, what? The whole pronunciation is distinctly French, not English.

Anyways, that's all I'm entertaining about the name. Getting caught up about what a not-done mod will be called is outrageously silly.

I agree, its a trivial matter and there is no point falling out or having arguments. Its an amazing mod so far and I cannot wait :D

Like the Pontiac Vibe with the Toyota Voltz, a Vibe with Toyota badges on it.

more mesh optimization; also I swapped out the pull-style door handles for some more era/budget appropriate flip up ones. New taillights, too.

I've also been doing more reading on J-beaming, but it's kind of frustrating.

ok still finishing up modeling. But I've been playing around with the chassis part. I shortened the chassis by about 5" in the wheelbase, and 10" overall, and got this 3-door city car. This car would be probably around 250-350lbs lighter than the regular 5-door "B-segment" hatchback. I want to release and finish both.

For all of you who maybe have trouble envisioning this:

3-door city car = VW Lupo

    5-door B-segment = VW Polo

The meshflow is a bit wonky, but nothing I couldn't fix.

    --- Post updated ---
When the 5-door hatch is done, in theory the 3-door shouldn't be super hard, since all of the suspension members etc are identical. It's just shorter. (With a different body and interior)
