So, there are doctors and other people including Richard Hammond, a cartoon reviewer, a senate majority leader, and a GoAnimator that want to kill Lily (The Psych2Go girl with a pink shirt that was on appesh1's previous profile pic) because they hate her and they think she's a horse.
Honestly, I don't think high school diplomas have much value nowadays. I'm young, so I don't have much experience when it comes to this stuff. However, the fact that a lot of people more and more "decent" careers are requiring degrees makes me really worried about humanity. I don't think high school diplomas (alone at least) are worth jack, unless you wanna get into trades or do restaurant work. If high diplomas alone really aren't worth much which I suspect they aren't. Then, I hope it's because of trade work requiring proper certificates along with a diploma and not more jobs requiring Bachelors degrees from expensive universities. I think if a high school student becomes a star, makes a million, and hates school. I think they should be allowed to drop out instead of being forced to get a worthless diploma that won't help them find a good paying job. A liberal arts or gender studies degree might have more value then a diploma. Diplomas alone aren't worth much in my opinion. I think for a lot people, a diploma is just a piece of paper they get and then they move on to college. I would love it if students got good jobs outta high school and high school taught people more about the real world and on the job training. However, I don't think that's gonna happen, especially considering the fact that uni is a giant monster growing bigger and bigger. @Harkin Labs Gaming makes a good point when he says that trade school is the way to go. Higher ed might be different in Europe, but in the US. It's expensive. In the US, I think trades or on the job training should be an alternative to college. Now, keep in mind that I'm aware that there might be trade schools that are more expensive then college. Also, if I go into trade school. I may not experience any upward mobility or career flexibility. Anyways, back to the diploma. I would also like to point out that I think Youtube might be the highest paying option for someone with no trades and just a diploma. Emphasis on might, because there are probably Youtubers (even with monetization, Patreon, and all that stuff) who don't make enough money to put food on the table. Plus, you don't need a diploma for Youtube (I don't think). @MrAnnoyingDude said that most Youtubers don't make enough to put food on the table. Sadly, he might be right about that. You can share your thoughts on this if you want to, but I think I'll need a lot of luck to make my passion a success. I'll try to promote my "entertainment" as much as possible. Art is a very risky career. The term "starving artist" doesn't exist for no reason and I'm sure you need at least some skill to make a living. Let's just hope I'm lucky enough to make a living of my passion. By the way @Addicti0nToB00st and appesh1, I'm aware that uni may not be like regular school, but I did uni math courses online on a math quiz site. I only got a few right because of guessing and luck. Not because of knowledge. Anyways, I'm 100% aware that my entertainment career could fail. I wanna try it out, but I could be a total failure at it. Anyways, to conclude this rant. I think diplomas alone will continue to lose value over the next few decades or so, especially considering the uni/job stuff. Thanks for reading everyone.
Maxed out the RAM in my MacBook Pro (8GB, it's an '09). Definitely a smoother experience doing some Java development and homebrew installations. Multiple homebrew installations. With multiple Chrome tabs. And an IM app. So much nicer than 4GB. I with the previous owner of this thing speced it out with 8GB from the start. Maybe even the SSD, but that was an expensive option in 2009. The limiting factor is the Core 2 Duo T9550 now. It really like to max out usage, but it's not too bad if I pace things correctly. I need a new MacBook Pro. I just much prefer a Mac for my mobile needs.
