You could replace it with a BeamNG flag.

 

The Charger mod has a General Lee skin with the confederate battle flag, so I don't see why this can't.

probably best to just change the flag to something generic to avoid offending people
but then again, pride flags may do that so not sure how safe you wanna play that.
i feel like it's fine paired with the general lee skin, but possibly offensive on it's own. even as an american, i don't know jack shit about history.

Technically its not even the actual Confederate flag, its actually just the battle flag of the Confederacy.

I agree with this, it's fine if the skin is clearly a homage to the General Lee, that shouldn't be seen as anything other than recreating a famous TV show car.

What wouldn't be as fine is if someone made a mod where they put a giant Confederate battle flag in the back of a lifted D-Series, similar to some trucks I see in my area (Northern California!). That would definitely seem politically charged in today's climate, and thus inappropriate as a mod.

 

Fair enough. The flag can also be selected as it‘s own thing on the focus (like the liveries are separated into sections)
