I was 8 when I saw it live that evening. It gave me PTSD in a way and I cannot watch anything that was about Dale since I know for a fact that they’ll show the footage of the crash, which I still break down from it. --- Post updated --- It’s my first map that I ever made, the textures are the exact same ones from the game, and I removed details like skid marks, shadows (which were actual objects since the game didn’t have any true lighting), and others. The game will do it when you impact the wall anyways, as well as the skid marks.
i feel for you man i saw that crash when i was 7 back then i thoght that i was i not brutal crash but he died from the crash i felt bad
he did he said that exact thing at his last race where he happen if you look closer at the whole race you will see he was blocking off the pack to keep his other 2 drivers at the front but the restrictors restricting them to the same speed got them to close together for to long and it cause the wreck and then those last factors decided if he would die or live from the wreck

The game will do it when you impa Dale was known to block like that, as well as being aggressive on the track, which is why he got the nickname, "the intimidator":
it's good. i originally tried to use the tracks from NASCAR Racing 2003, but the tracks are unopenable in SimEd3d, and i discovered that EA's NASCAR PC ports were co-developed by ISI (the people behind rFactor) and the filesystem was basically the same as rFactor.

The hans device also played a role that year. It wasn't mandatory back then for drivers to wear it and Dale was one of the few to reject it. --- Post updated --- Also hi, I'm here now
He did die because of the nature of restrictor plate racing. But mainly he died from a basilar skull fracture due to the lack of the HANS device as well as the blunt force trauma. His seatbelt also snapped which allowed his chin to hit the steering column and his face to hit the wheel at well over 100mph. I have pictures of the inside of the car after Dale was removed. It's brutal especially the way that solid MPI deep dish steering wheel bent like it was some knockoff wheel from ebay. Here's the picture in case anybody was wondering. There's not much blood but there is a small amount residual dried blood on the wheel and roll cage if anybody is squeamish. I don't recommend anybody look at the other images of the interior. All I can say is I hope he went quick. https://findadeath.com/wp-content/uploads/directory/d/Dale_Earnhardt/steering-wheel.jpg
he died instantly as in the very second he hit the wall so i cant tell if he was lucky or unlucky and i say pretty often that i want to live like dale Earnhardt and i want to die like Earnhardt and i still want to keep that last bit there because ide rather die driving a NASCAR in the Daytona 500 than die in a hospital or those old people places cant remember they're names
Okay, but Dale Earnhardt isn't what this thread topic is. The topic of this thread is the Chevy Lumina NASCAR Stock Car mod that is in progress, not Dale Earnhardt. So I recommend staying on the topic of this mod
I don't really care about this mod, but yall need to get back on topic. and YOU need to look at the forum rules and rethink your actions.
