Well, since the style of the car and the straight eight is Buick inspired and Buick had a "Century", how about Gavril Centurian?
maybe just something simple, like gavril "400" and "500" (or "five hundred" if you want to be fancy.) just an arbitrary number, like the chevrolet 150/210.
Honestly that sounds like the best, although Talladega is still stuck in my head... I also am aware that Talladega speedway was opened in '69 or thereabouts, and was nothing back in the 50s.
what about something like four hundred, five hundred, and marshal as the trim levels? so you thy'd be named like "marshal roadster", or a "five hundred sedan", or even (though maybe not for this mod, as it's probably too much work) a "four hundred woodie"? getting a bit offtopic, but a legit woodie would be really unique, if difficult to make.
That sounds fantastic! I'm fully convinced that it'll work just fine. A woodie wagon is a fantasy of mine too, if I can contact the creator of the burnside wagon I may be able to turn that into a woody wagon using textures and whatnot. By the way : This may delay progress a wee bit, but I can make every door and hood and trunk open. Should it be implemented?
absolutely. Mabye i'm asking too much but you could animate with lua the push-button automatic buttons in the interior. another suggestion: continental spare tyre kit, very early 50s: look at this 1954 nash
Alright, coffee and all-nighters before school resumes! And the rear spare tyre kit is one of my personal favourite quirks of that era, so it will definitely be in the parts. The push-butons won't need lua but will likely be set as "props" in the jbeam file - I don't know if I can do it, although I'll give it a try.
Oh that speedo is just beautiful. Also 'nother suggestion... two tone paint !,but instead of the standard roof and main body type, make it so the lower body be one colour and the top the second colour separated by chrome trim line running from the lower edge of the headlight pod to the taillight and dipping down at the rear at the fender (or big bulgey part, whatever its called). You know a la Buick style. Oh i'm not sure if you'd want to do this but maybe give the c pillars a bit more rake for racey-er profile Edit: And maybe have some heftier looking and/or more square bumpers with large optionable overiders and could I also suggest that you should remove some spokes from the Buick grille and make the remaining ones much thicker for that classic "monster in the rear-view" look. And... Ventiports !
deleted --- Post updated --- Its going to be a Gavril and also the name would put it down in terms levels of trim
