No, I am sorry. School started again and I don't have the time or motivation to learn jbeam after school. :/ Maybe on some rainy weekends. Edit: If you are wondering, I've found out that I'll have another two free weeks after the 6th of June where I can focus again on the car.
Well, I think the progress I've made is worthy of posting. The most significant change is the rear quarter panel and the behind of the car. Thank god Bakasan pushed me to redo the rear quarter panel Looks almost like the real car now and not like a dented something. Even though I see something wrong with the wheelarch. I'll fix that later. Also nothice the new air-intake scoop and the better looking lines. Next on was the front of the car. I've fixed the headlight area and modeled new headlights with proper chrome details. Still not 100% happy with it though. I am not sure if I should model the grille or normal map it....If I manage to get it under 600 polys I'll model it. New windows and chrome details. They look quite rough now though. And interior with steering wheel. The gauges look dead wrong from this angle lol....I'll have to take a closer look at those. And finnaly for those who are interested a wireframe: Thanks for reading and make sure to point mistakes out! About the jbeam: Bakasan was willing to help me by doing the most and hardest part of it. So again thanks to him! He really contribuited much to this car! Oh yeah..poly count 47k
Who else loves UV unwraping? I don't.. Anyways, I am quite happy with my tetris skills. The 2nd half of the UV map will probably be filled by the interior. This if there is enough room to paint some detailed textures. If not, I'll make a new one for the interior and scale some of the engine uvs up to fill the whole map...Do more UVmaps affect the performance of the game or is it only for organizational purposes and only the final total resolution is what counts ? I am thinking about unwraping the body next. But I am not sure if the car is finished or not... Don't quite know how to feel about it since it's my first car..hmm..if somebody has the free time to take a quick look at the car in their 3d modeling software and tell me if they are content with the mesh just PM me. (something like an pre alpha test...maybe). Here is the latest version of the car: But that's all in the future...first I have to learn how to bake an AO map, since I've never done that before. Thanks for reading and sorry for the wall of text.
From what I see its a pretty solid car. Smooth where necessary and your verts etc are good. Oh man this car looks amazing!

When I say this car looks extremely nice (imported from here) (imported from here) (imported from here) How would it look in different colours? [webm=autoplay]http://zippy.gfycat.com/FavorableFineCrab.webm[/webm]
my dream car... - - - Updated - - - if i may ask.... have you thought of any colour schemes your going to make it... (i know your far from done)
i would say it should be red, but at the same time, the blue looks really good on it also. - - - Updated - - - i would say it should be red, but at the same time, the blue looks really good on it also.
I think I will go for this color scheme: I also like this one: It probably won't be pure black since black tends to lower the detail of the mesh especially in darker places and for people who play without reflections. But like you said @msurf15, I am still pretty far from that ^^
Im diggin this color scheme. Maybe a *slightly* more vibrant red, and darker silver and its perfect (i guess i like contrast)
Wow, that looks amazing (@Nadeox's post). Awesome progress so far man, loved following along with this and seeing how far youve came since your OP
