Yet another 1988 styling edit (with "classic" badge") with larger headlights (will be smaller in the 1989 fascia facelift) If until the Gavril grand Marshal's ended production career in 1996. It will be marked as "Classic Edition" after the third (current) facelift exists.

Pretty sure a more classic Grand Marshal would be more akin to the earlier Crown Vics, something like this.

The one in the game appears to be based on the later models, but nonetheless, I'd like to see a previous-gen Grand Marshal!

I like the concept, and I think it would actually work as official content, especially after how the D-Series just recently received a pre-facelift front fascia that calls back to the third gen Ford Bronco, though I agree with @CTJacob, the design of the Grand Marshal's body would be too modern for the 80's. More rounded and curvy designs didn't start popping up until the decade was just about over. The 90's is where they really took off.

I think the year range on the official Grand Marshal is already quite accurate, as 1990 was roughly the time frame where more rounded designs of those large fullsize sedans were introduced, I.E. the boxy LTD Crown Victoria -> rounded Crown Victoria, and the Impala/Caprice switching generations from third to fourth for the Caprice and sixth to seventh for the Impala.

The headlights would work fine on the 1990 - 1993 models, as CT said, before receiving the official design in 1994, but not really for 1989 and below, as I'd imagine a 1989 and earlier Grand Marshal would look more like these.

There's also the Caprice Classic as well.

You mean the quad headlights for the Gavril Grand Marshal I have suggested look too out of place with the modern 90s design?

Yeah, most American cars (and some other regions too) in the early 90s made the move to have a more singular headlamp by making it into one whole piece, so any quad or dual headlights were usually scrapped by then in favor for these kind of headlights instead.

I think the idea works for the 90 - 93 models, and then the official design is the facelift for the 1994 - 1997 models.

What about make the quad headlight version a limited-production classic edition?

Still wouldn't make realistic sense, the only times you would've saw something with quad headlights in that decade was cars like the E-Class, but even then that was later in the 90s and was a far cry from what the 80s offered.

So that means quad headlights did not age very well, right?

Nah, it's just that they were mainly fazed out for more convenient headlight designs.

OK. What do you think of the nostalgic headlights being introduced back as a limited edition special?

Still wouldn't make logical sense, and again, people were easy to adapt with the more easily repairable and flexible designs that came with 90s headlights.

It wouldn't be a bad little mod, but it wouldn't be something they would actually do.

Ever heard of this one? This is what inspired me to create the said suggestion.

Nah, I admit I haven't seen that, but the Grand Marshall is supposed to be just the archetype so I don't think the devs would do something exactly like this.

Also I don't think that was actually official, might've been something homebrew instead.

Anyway, I have turned this suggestion into a pre-facelift suggestion for the current Grand Marshal.

That's a completely different vehicle altogether though, and it's not like the Camaro had the same quad headlights that cars like the Crown Vic did.
