My go kart starter motor isn’t workin. Obviously this means the go kart won’t start. I hear the starter motor turning, but it’s not engaging the gear or whatever that turns the engine over. I’m thinking something g stripped or broke on the gear. Any ideas?
is it visible? do you hear a clunk when it runs from it engaging on the flywheel? that's another posibility with what's wrong. try hitting it with the handle end of a hammer, that usually fixes stuff.
so the sprocket's likely not extending out when you run it, most likely because it's stuck from my experience, either give it a tap with the aforementioned hammer handle, or if that doesn't work, try opening it up and clean it out.
