After this thread failed to grasp the most popular Goodfellas reference, I decided to post this.

As mentioned previously, the rule enforcement has been really weird lately. I doubt we'll come to a realistic reason why any of yesterday's events happened, especially the ban. Everyone was right and wrong at the same time.

He was a user (believed to be under age) that would make up stories about certain cars he "owned" to get attention. He was banned a few times but kept coming back with alt accounts. Funnily enough, he mostly claimed to own normal cars, typically late 90's - early 00's GM cars. I think he claimed ownership of a Buick Rainier, a Mercury Grand Marquis, a Chevrolet Malibu, a GMC Envoy, (possibly) a Nissan GTR, and probably a few other cars I am forgetting about. He also claimed that he crashed and posted a picture of a totaled car claiming it was his.

Is this an interrogation thread? Are you trying to make CIA profiles of them?

For the love of God, why these cars?

I swear to God that if another American says anything about the Twingo, I will grab a tire iron, find the nearest Twingo and beat the windows out.

I understand the Rainier and Envoy, as they are some of the last nice midsize SUVs you could buy. They are body on frame and can be had with V8s and AWD or 4x4. The Envoy even had a convertible pickup variant that had a sliding roof over the cargo area to turn it into an almost-truck. I don't understand the Malibu or GTR though. You can't even get a 3.8 in the Malibu, and GTRs are just meh.

They are very far from the definition of "nice". "Mundane"? "Mediocre"

And what's the fixation with having a frame in a family hauler?

I suppose because they're ordinary, at least the ones besides the GTR. I have memories of seeing some of them IRL, though I have none on the Rainier and Envoy, and I absolutely have not seen any GTRs.

Umm what? I don't get it.

"Ah yes, lemme flex a GTR, because those aren't cliche at all. Ooh, and an Envoy, yea that's gonna get me all the ladies and the praise"

    F*ck sake's, he could've at least chosen a Z model, they're actually cool Nissans.

And an Envoy? Who's ever been impressed by someone owning an Envoy?

If I've seen a GTR (and a 911 GT3, and a Ferrari California, and a Lambo Espada...) drive down my street in a Polish town, I think you aren't watchful enough.

I'm pretty sure a GTR would impress far more than a Z-Car.

For all I know, I could be wrong. I'm not 100% sure about that stuff, tbh.

So you say you may be a narc?

Is this an attempt at disguising that you are a narc?

Being "mediocre" or "mundane" makes purchase price cheap. Body on frame means that it can be taken off road. They made a lot of them, so parts are cheap and easy to find. The i6 models are not that difficult to work on. I see them as a good road trip vehicle or overlander with a few mods.

    More impressive, but more cliche

Also yeah it's also nearly impossible to never see a GTR. I live in New Jersey, one of the most pointless places to own one, and I've seen more than 5 drive around in the past year.

It's still a car you buy because you can't afford any better, not a car you buy because you want one.

And a Z-Car is somehow unpopular? It's one of the most common sports cars.

I'm actually pretty watchful. I can almost recognize every vehicle I see when I'm out. I'd know if I saw anything like those.

I live in a small rural American town, where you're lucky if you even see something like that.
