Re: General discussion chat yay, my internet connection got cut -_- 3 days before update. (im movin) yay (sarcasm) send from a shitty smelly internet cafe
Re: General discussion chat I've been around for a few Steam summer sales. It's really the only time I buy games. (Unless it's really cheap and/or really good like Spin Tires which I paid the $27 for. I rarely pay more than like $10-15 for games.)
Re: General discussion chat Did some more hunting for forge parts with mate today, pretty much finished in terms of materials, total bill for anvil + forge = £0.89
Re: General discussion chat i dont know how many of you guys care, but i finally set up 3 monitors for my computer. It rocks!
Re: General discussion chat i couldn't even afford 1 monitor (Hence my HP L1706 Buisiness monitor @ 1280x1024)
Re: General discussion chat if you work someplace where they have computers, you could ask if they have anything computer related. the IT guys at a company didnt need a monitorso he gave it to me.
Re: General discussion chat My main (Best) monitor is a 20 inch Compaq 900p. I got it for about $60 in a great deal brand new at Best Buy. (I still dunno why it was so cheap. I don't think it was a returned product or anything.) It's running at 80Hz instead of 60 and it looks pretty good. My other one is a cheapo 19.5 inch Hanns G monitor I got for $80. It uses VGA only but it's good enough for me. (I was kinda mad because the pictures on Amazon showed that it had digital input.) I want a third screen because you can't really game on two screens but there's two problems: One, I don't really have enough space on just one side of my desk for 3 screens. Two, money. I'd rather buy other things like a new GPU. I'm looking to get a Radeon R9 270 or something like that. My birthday is coming up soon though. I also want a mechanical keyboard to replace the crappy Apple keyboard I've been using for awhile. I did buy a cheap "gaming" keyboard off Newegg but for $13 I guess you get what you pay for. It really was just not good. Also, I do have a decent 20-ish inch Dell 1440x900 monitor that I traded my brother for my $10 TV that I never really used. It's just sitting in my closet because I tried it with my other two screens but the Nvidia surround thing just messes everything up due to the fact that it's 1440x900 and the other two are 1600x900. I want to set up a little MC server with my old computer (Or my old netbook that's missing the screen if it's good enough) because the host my favorite server (Small server with people from a different forum) lives in the UK and has REALLY bad internet. Like, unbearable ping. He also had to shut down the server if he wanted to play a different game or something like that. I offered to host it for him and we were talking about it and he said he'd upload the worldfile and stuff overnight but then he just disappeared in April. Like, no activity on his YouTube or his account on that forum. In other news, today was my last day of finals and school so yay
Re: General discussion chat I've got a Radeon 270 and it's pretty good. You should buy the sapphire OC edition, it's the same price and a bit faster. And don't waste your money on the 270x, it uses 2 6-pins instead of one and it's not worth the extra money. If my memory isn't wrong the only difference was the 270x gets 1GHz, while the 270 OC gets 945 MHz. Also never buy a card with the reference fan, the ventilation is terrible. Buy one with two big-ass fans in it, they work. - - - Updated - - - Am I the only person who doesn't buy every game just because it's on sale? I always end up playing TF2 anyway. I should just buy hats.
Re: General discussion chat Yeah, I was thinking of the MSI GAMING one. I really like MSI and when I checked I was seeing "new" ones on eBay for $140. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...27769&cm_re=msi_r9_270-_-14-127-769-_-Product
Re: General discussion chat Heck, buy a used 7970/280x on eBay for $150. Or even a reference 290/x and just tell it to power limit, still fast.
Re: General discussion chat Do you want to burn your house down? Because that's how you burn your house down.
