Hey @Grind86, I have a question for you. Why did you choose the name "Grind86"? Not saying it's bad or anything, just curious. :)

    1. Oh, okay then.
    2. Alright then.
    3. I 100% agree. Uni is for specialized fields and is great for people who want to be teachers, engineers, lawyers, doctors, nurses, surgeons, etc.
Yeah, you make a good point. Tbh, there are starving artists and I don't wanna starve, so I should have a backup plan.
Yeah, I better have a backup plan in case my passion doesn't work out.

It's not my call but if you do don't be surprised by negative comments and just ignore the "obvious" fighting ones.

The Sunburst was updated in like 0.17 or 0.18, long after DPMP became outdated beyond repair and Djdoppler just made a new pack. That being said, no it doesn't work :\

Alright, everyone on here. (This includes @Phym, @appesh1, @Nathan24™, @Harkin Labs Gaming, etc) I would love to hear your thoughts on these college comments. You don't have to share your thoughts if you don't want to, though. Anyways, let's get this rotting trainwreck started.

Sadly, we need people who use their hands. Who's gonna fix your plumbing, electricity, fix your car, or build stuff? We need tradesman. From I've heard, the US has a massive shortage on trades. Look, I get it. We need smart people who go to college to do stuff like engineering, law, medical, teaching, etc. However, forcing everyone in university could cause a bunch of mental health issues and suicides. Not to mention that not every college grad can get a good job. I'm sure the majority of them can, but not everyone. Yes, it's true that on average, Uni and college grads make more money then people with just a high school diploma. It could hurt people in the long run mentally. Physically? I don't think so, but you never know what could happen.
Oh, for goodness sake. Copunit12 could spell college better then you. He at least didn't put a d. Look, I don't wanna sound like a grammar nazi, but this guy needs more education on stuff. Look, it's true that college opens doors and provides more opportunity, but you could get a job without a degree. You may not get a good paying one, but you could get one. Just because you don't have a friggin' Bachelor's degree doesn't mean you'll be broke with no job at all. Even someone with just a high school diploma could get a job at a fast food place. It wouldn't be a good job, but it would be much better then being unemployed. Look, a YouTuber called THE EUROPEAN said that a lot of people without degrees are unemployed, but you could probably find a job without a degree. It may not be a good one in terms of pay, but it would be a job none of the less. Heck, YouTube could be technically considered a job even though it probably doesn't pay well. Heck, even high school dropouts could find a job.
Look, just because college grads make more then high schoolers doesn't mean university should be mandatory. Look, not everyone can do university and some people may have learning disabilities so bad that they can't even get through high school. Yes, university does provide more opportunity but there is a percentage, it's a very small percentage of college grads that are unemployed. It's between 1.6 and 2.4% I think. Correct me if I'm wrong on that. Anyways, I'm not denying the benefits of higher ed. However, I think mandatory university is completely stupid.
Oh, for goodness sake. You don't even have to graduate preschool to get lunch. Look, even if you just have a GED or a high school diploma. You could probably still make enough money to get buy and put food on the table. Yes, college grads make more then high schoolers. However, you could live without college. Yes, college can be wonderful for many careers and it opens doors. However, people can survive in life without a friggin' Bachleor's degree.
You can be successful, be a good worker, and build life skills without university. Yes, college grads (on average) do make more money then high school grads and maybe even trade school grads. However, uni is not and should not be mandatory to survive in life. So many of these comments are radical and extremist. Look, going on to attain further skills after high school is great, but it doesn't have to be done through university.
Are you really telling the truth here? Do you really need a degree to advance in a company?
On average, college grads earn more, but it depends on what career you're going into. No amount of college should be mandatory. The saying "college isn't for everyone" is not an excuse. It's true. Some people can't afford it, some people having learning disabilities that prevent them from doing well in school, some people can't focus, and some people just don't have the time to do it. Yes, higher ed can definitely lead to better pay and will probably help you become smarter. However, it's true that higher ed isn't for everyone.
Well, I'm sure a lot of good paying jobs require a Bachleor's degree, but how do you know it's most? Also, you don't need higher ed to be successful.
I doubt mandatory college is needed to keep the US competitive. Also, mandatory college could ruin people's mental health. Yes, college grads earn more on average, but it's on average for a reason. There are exceptions I'm sure. On another, is college mandatory over in Germany? Also, about the tax thing. Some people would lose more money paying higher taxes for mandatory college. This could prevent them from getting food on the table and paying their bills.
Alright guys, now it's time for the YouTube comments.
Well, that's a good point. The internet won't get you a job in medicine, law, or engineering. It probably won't get you a job at all, unless it does. If that's the case, then great.
Actually, I think you can get 6 figures without a degree. I heard of an electrician who made 6 figures a year doing a trade program in high school. I could wrong, though. Anyways, I'm not sure what @MrAnnoyingDude will think of this, but hopefully. He will understand what I'm saying. In conclusion, I'm not denying the benefits of higher ed. However, I think the debate.org comments are just radical.

I don't really know how to respond to this, as I'm not in college yet. Sorry. :(

Speaking of school, June 4 (which was yesterday) was my last day of school this year. :D

It's fine, man. I'm not in college either. It'll be cool when/if Harkin Labs Gaming and appesh1 show up to respond to me.

The only real takeaway of all of this whole debate is that life isn't black and white. For some people it can be hugely beneficial and for some it might not matter. It massively depends on the path that someone wants to take, there's no right or wrong answer so I'm not sure why such a big fuss has been raised about it.
