Hi, working on a Remastered 200BX Mod, so far i've only overhauled the exhausts, wondering what you would all like to see. I don't want to completely change the car, mostly just adding aftermarket stuff First Preview of the aftermarket exhausts. Edit 13/04/2021 Second Preview of the aftermarket exhausts. I know, its been 10 months lmao. Re-did models to support the new configuration: Video Preview: Credits: aljowen | BeamNG - Helping with JBeam & LUA scripting Inn0centJok3r | BeamNG - Brake Glow mod which was used as a reference when creating the glowing exhaust manifold.
I'd love to see some toned down body kits to go with the widebody fender flares. The aftermarket parts we have are pretty over the top. Maybe a nice looking gauge pod.
(Tried adding this to an edited version of the first message but it doesn't let me, so another message it is. Hi, another little update Added Launch Control as a toggle-able option Preview
Good suggestion ! I'm not sure how i'd make a working gauge but i can look into it ! And the kits i can easily do
Still planning to continue this, bumping this thread because i am actively working on this mod still, just struggling with the Jbeam side of things. In the Modding for Dummies discord, hoping to get verified so i can ask for help with JBeam there. But if any of you talented JBeam-ers want to help me out please contact me on Discord: 13Stewartc#9365 or via these forums (Ideally Discord)
That's awesome, would like to see something like that in BeamNG! If you'd like, I could help you with importing the Bordeaux in the game, might jbeam it too.
The Bordeaux Arias is Lore Friendly for Grand Theft Auto 5, if i were to make the same car for BeamNG.Drive then it'd be in the same style as BeamNG.Drive models with BeamNG.Drive brands
Yeah, I know, thats what I wanted to say, something like Cherrier Arias since Cherrier is a french brand
This as a feature that's easier to implement when Rockstar did it slightly better. No hate doe. (Hacky animated belt done with HTML + LUA + JS + JSON + Blender + Paint.net + pain + like 10 hours) but it WORKS! But the lock to 30FPS for animated HTML stuffs does make it slightly laggy. (HTML "textures" are locked to 30FPS no game lag here. runs flawlessly) Credit to @aljowen for the scripting side of things, credit to me for the modelling / uv mapping. "This as a feature that's easier to implement when" ^ access to materials.json with LUA & the ability to have more in depth control over materials. For example you could create a material/script to make the brakes glow, make parts UV animate based on RPM (belts) or just on a set speed. Or glowing exhaust manifolds etc.
CR20 (Lore Friendly SR20) engine for the 200BX I know the textures aren't really the same style 100% as BeamNG developers, but i really don't know how to make them realistic like they do. So for now i am using these. If i learn of a better way to do things so the textures are more realistic i'll do it that way instead
Another update CR20 engine is in game and working ! (Images and showcase video below) Showcase Video Images (Cam cover is not stock, paintable part is applied)
Another little progress update: New Boost Gauge Part. Will eventually be available in multiple positions on the car. Also, new configurations: Beginners Drift. A lightly modified 200BX Type-S tuned for drifting Trackday Beater. Who would've thought this heap of garbage could be king of the track? And last but not least. Type-S (Available in Manual and Automatic Transmission Configurations) Special Edition S model complete with a CR20 engine, Type-S exhaust tip and new alloy wheels.
