I have had mostly good experiences with the police here. My worst experience was a few years ago, but has been good since then. One time a group of kids was playing ding dong ditch at 11:30 PM and the police handled it in a way that everyone left the encounter in a decent mood. Another time someone vandalized my car while it was in the shop. The police immediately started the process to file charges when asked, and it ended up scaring the person enough to pay for the damages if I dropped the charges (so I did).
I always thought being a detective would be a nice gig, but that's probably one of those jobs that you soon realize "I ain't cut out for this..." I also wanted to be a water cop for awhile. Seems like a fun gig, you get the usual gov't benefits and drive a cool boat... I probably would've been happy with anything of the sort, but... Whatever, I'm happy with my current line of work.
I'm sure I'm wildly romanticizing the job, but I'd figure a PI would be a fun gig. No reports, you choose your clients. Not normally as exciting, but gunfights and car chases aren't fun while you're in them anyway.
I imagine that as a PI you get to drive some cool cars too. Or at least that's what the movies have me believe; I wouldn't know.
At this point I feel it would be appropriate to mention that the cars which blend in best with traffic are probably not the best for a chase or a fight.
My ideal movie PI wakes up after dark, then washes some painkillers down with something bottom-shelf. He then proceeds to stare through the blinds at the rainsoaked skyline while his internal monologue says something cynical and brooding. And it's all in black and white of course.

Well, I changed my profile again for like the 5,000th time or so. Before I end this post. I looked through a few of my old posts and I didn't like them at all. I saw some I made tonight while looking through @CN877's posts. His older posts (from when I was GWMan) are still good to this day, tbh. I would really love to hear feedback on the quality of my posts. Anyways, goodnight everyone.
Something about there being a particular size limit where they're functional, but I don't remember much why that was the case.
