Started doing a bunch of work on it as it was really starting to need it, and I have a bunch of time on my hands with the current situation. I've also found some more weird issues with the rear suspension, expect a lot less 3 wheeling in the next version.
The thing is, even the caterham doesn't really have a true "stock" steering wheel. It's just a momo wheel with a center piece that also has the momo logo. Some older ones do have a lotus or caterham logo in the middle, but it's still just an aftermarket wheel with a center piece. However, I might look into resizing the various steering wheels, as most of them are rather large for the car. While those engines do sound cool, I still don't really see it as worth the work getting the mesh and jbeam to fit, as it would mostly ends up being an other modern engine with similar power figures. I am however working on a "classic" variant, which will come with various variants of Miramar engines. And now for some progress pics: I've pretty much redone the entire exhaust system and all mufflers. They're still the same performance and general look as the old ones, but are a bit more polished. I've also done some changes to the interior, started laying out a new analog gauge setup. I've added some texturing to the black plastic material that's used around the cockpit, which helps a lot with the looks. And a bunch of other stuff.
What about just using the sounds from the Vivace? I originally made both Superlite engines use the Bolide sound, then I made them use the Vivace sounds. It sounds amazing. --- Post updated --- By the way, the engine's indestructible which makes little to no sense to me.
What do you mean exactly? There are many ways to break an engine in beamNG, and I know a few ways that definitively work on this car. IIRC it has the same torque limits as the 200BX engine, which get fairly high with parts due to the very high boost variants.
I don't know, I feel like half the time I crush and destroy the hell out of the car and it still runs, lol. I can even yank the engine around with the nodegrabber at full strength and it does nothing,

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but turning on the left blinker makes both front blinkers go on.
Thanks for the info, seems like it's only an issue with the modern headlamps. I'll add that on my hotfix todo list.
Not sure if this has already been mentioned but when you turn on headlights, theres rear turn signal light flare
Dang, I was really hoping to see the I5 make it in lmao I guess I could try to jbeam it in myself if I really wanted it, just don't have any experience with jbeam lol
well idk why but by me the car has missing some parts like the axles well i think its invisible like the dashboard and some things have missing textures

I'd still love the 1.5 'modern-ish' DOHC out of the Ibishu Covet if it'd not be to much effort. I love the idea of mimicking Caterhams current lineup with early 00s/90s era Ford duratec 2.0 with the same downsized sigma 1.6. I think the Covet & 200BX engines mimic this lineup well.
Main reason it wasn't added initially was because of overlap with the lightly modded SOHC engine as well as the 2.0L. But since I kinda threw that out the windows with the miramar engine, I'll take a look, since the covet engine models are nearly identical other than the head.
