I've been now scrolling the ideas and suggestions page quite a while now and i would like to make a list of things that would make the actual driving more realistic. tyre wear tyre temperatures brake temperatures brake noise road temperature aquaplaning (although it would be kinda hard to implement) suspension wear / damage differential damage This is just a short list of things, feel free to comment things that would make the driving more realistic and i'm meaning about DRIVING, please do not post things about scratches on doors or airbags, thank you
I believe acuaplaning is already implemented to some degree. I often bounce of the water when a rally stage takes me through a river (well, given that I'm doing 150km/h that isn't that surprising)
oh yeah, now I feel like an idiot. Brake temperatures are in the game, but with the suspension damage I'm meaning looser suspension, that would wear. Kind of hard to explain.
I think I know what you mean. The suspensions are a little too strong and it takes a lot before you get a shot suspension. Suspensions can give out from things such as hitting a divot as a high speed (or at least get damaged from it), while in the game, it seems like the only way to make your suspension take that much damage is landing hard on a high jump. In my opinion, this also means that they should make the roads a little more treacherous, as they're all kinda smooth, even the dirt roads.
Agree, but brake temperature and brake noise is already in game. I am looking forward to see all kinds of mechenical wear and random failure in career mode. --- Post updated --- Also, ECU and TCU aren't perfect, dynamic behaviours in BeamNG still have a different feeling than driving a real car. Such as releasing clutch on gear 2 won't cause a flameout.
by brake noises I mean race brakes when they are cold, they tend to whine and also when brakes are very worn they tend to whine also.
I agree with most all of this and it would be really cool to have weather/seasons like Forza Horizon 4 and also cars getting muddy when driving through water, dirt, or mud and also burn marks when cars are on fire
Just found out that you can enable triangleCollisions for tires. Quite nice feature, could be perfected with hellish squeal and rumble effects and made to a gameplay option for official tires. https://wiki.beamng.com/PressureWheels "Sets whether tire triangles collide with the collision triangles of own vehicle or other vehicles. When enabled, tires will not clip right through firewalls, for example, but may get stuck in sharp bodywork after a collision. More CPU resources are needed when this is enabled."
