    Greetings everybody,


    We're proud to share with you that the official BeamNG YouTube channel has reached 100.000 subscribers! We are so grateful for your persistent support and interest in our project, and we would like to celebrate this moment together. If you're a content creator you'll be excited to hear that today we are announcing the first official video contest: The BeamNG Inaugural Cinematic Clip Contest!



    Show us your most impressive cinematic clips, and get the chance to win some amazing BeamNG.drive swag! The topic of the clip is entirely up to you.


    Clip submission instructions:

    • Clips can be uploaded to YouTube (preferred) or similar services (as long as we are able to access them)
    • No more than one clip per submission but you are free to change your submission (edit the existing post) until the deadline
    • Reply to this thread with the link to your submission (you may add a short description or a story, but it's not mandatory)
    • Participants have until 27/07/2020 to create and publish their submissions.

    Contest rules & terms are as follows:

    • Maximum clip length is 1 minute
    • Must use screen capture software (i.e. no phone recordings)
    • Must be original content (no re-using someone's footage, no re-uploads of older videos)
    • Use of mods is allowed (from the official repo only, please credit the author in the description)
    • Use of graphical enhancement modifications is not allowed (ReShade and similar)
    • Basic editing (cuts, transition) is allowed
    • Graphics settings will not be considered, to allow everybody to participate, regardless of their hardware
    • Updated: You can use royalty-free music, get a licensed track (must be licensed to the contest specifically), or use any of the tracks from our own @gabester which you will find on Soundcloud.

    Winners will be determined by the vote of the jury composed of the BeamNG Dev Team. Submissions featuring impressive use of the in-game camera modes and tools (ie. PathCamera, Free Camera, etc.) and, of course, driving will have a higher chance of winning! Check out these videos for more info about the PathCam:


    Winner will receive the following prizes:
    • Limited Edition BeamNG.drive T-Shirt
    • Signed Certificate to frame
    • 3x game keys for BeamNG to give away among your viewers or friends

    Ive tried submitting my video files to the site, but it wont let me. Maybe you should make a feature where you can upload replay directly to the site. Id love to participate, but I cant.

    Is basic editing like cuts and transitions only allowed? or is stuff in post like color correction and effects also allowed

    am I allowed to use like blender to make these clips using beamng cars or do I have to use beamng engine. I am guessing not based of the rules

    Is using custom PostFX allowed? Since its pretty much an ingame feature but still is a graphics enhancement

    i have some question:
    1) i can do some post production effects (dunno, like rgb splitting, masking or visual effects like particles)
    2) i can use copyright free music in Background (sounds effect too)?
    3) i can use a cinematic aspect ratio (but still rendered as 16:9?
