Will there be steering feedback simulation e.g While drifting the wheels will automatically start to counter steer or a bumpy road
I hope you get what i mean

It should be possible to get the forces on the steering system and apply them as force feedback, but it's low priority right now.

Hm. I'm not sure how I feel about that response, honestly. For this being a game centered around realism and physic simulation I think it's vital to have Forcefeedback setup and working. Obviously the core of the physics is important, so that's why I said I'm not so sure. I get the reason why it isn't a high priority.. but I don't think it should be 'low'.

There are a ton of things we need to fix before we even think about adding more features, and the tire model isn't all that suited to steering wheel use anyways.

Is that something you'll be changing?

If we can, sure. There's not really much we can do to improve the sharpness of the tire model without hacking the physics.

Hm. What is kind of the 'problem' with Steering wheels as of now? I'd presume it shouldn't really cause any problems. You can get finer inputs in all aspects rather then a keyboard. If anything, I'd think the Keyboard would be the cause of the problem, lol.

The tires are just numb. So with a 900 degree steering wheel you need massive movements and corrections just to stay on the road. Not a problem if you're using keyboard or a gamepad. RoR had the same problem, but even worse.

Do the tires behave similar to as if you were doing a burnout? If you know what to look for it might be a good idea to actually code a basic Forefeedback system. You'll be able to tell more about the car if you know what to feel for and as such you might be able to make tweaks to even it out.

But what if steer with mouse with sensitivity adjusting?

You would have the same effect.

I was expecting it would be like that. And I thought there is no FFB support, but hopefully it won't be too hard to make.

if it took massive movements couldn't there be a way to like multiply the input x5 or something?

(i have no idea what I'm doing lol)

Not really, no. You could just use a smaller lock on your wheel (like 270) but that wouldn't be very realistic.

Although i understand what you are saying it wasn't to bad in ror (if you used 180 deg lock, 90 either way). So if you have improved it in BeamNG then it must be reasonable. Just fyi i always use 180 deg lock even though i am using a g25 because i find it suits most games including ror better. You could do something similar to mouse acceleration but with the steering wheel such as little twitches could be amplified slightly but i doubt people would be happy with that.
