This version is not updated, please refer to the spreadsheet you can find in page 50, post #984 Google Doc with all the results. Nice and easy, go you your BeamNG installation folder, usually "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\BeamNG.drive", then double click on Banana Bench, and post results below! Will try to keep updated! Please can people have CPU-Z open to verify their clocks when performing the benchmark? It is likely that if your CPU is "Stock Clocks", it's actually turbo boosting, so the frequency is probably more than your Base clock. This will help improve the accuracy of the results. Thanks The bench has been updated to test 10 vehicles, so feel free to update your results! I'll start: Q6600 @3.2GHz - Max Mbeams/s: 26.560 Mbeams/s. Wish i had my 3770k @4.5Ghz with me, itd probably be 3 times quicker than my Q6600. The member with the highest Banana score (so far) is Rage with a Max Mbeams/s of 98.879! Intel 3930K @5.1GHz
Re: BANANA Bench (Beam ANAlysis NAarrator) List i5-3330 @ 3.0 GHZ Max mbeams: 39.055 i however have no idea what any of this means (i'm guessing it's saying i can get up to 4 d15's before i get major performance loss)
Re: BANANA Bench (Beam ANAlysis NAarrator) Results thanks for making a thread, we wanted to do one, but are so busy trying to improve the update system right now. We would love to see the benchmark results on various hardware
Re: BANANA Bench (Beam ANAlysis NAarrator) Results so, what do any of the results mean is my main question about the benchmark tool
Re: BANANA Bench (Beam ANAlysis NAarrator) Results Maybe Mbeams are 1000 beams each, and it will tell you how many of those your computer can take.
Re: BANANA Bench (Beam ANAlysis NAarrator) Results if you are over 100% realtime, it means you can simulate that amount of vehicles at realtime still. If the value drops below 100%, it would be in slow-motion since the CPU cannot process the physics fast enough. UPDATE: on your HW that means that you can 'drive' 4 vehicles without any problem
Re: BANANA Bench (Beam ANAlysis NAarrator) Results (imported from here) (imported from here) Updated Same settings, a bit lower ambient temperature (Hot summer here..) (imported from here)
Re: BANANA Bench (Beam ANAlysis NAarrator) Results hmm, seems crappy compared to everyone else, but heres a craptop benchmark for you...and as I mentioned in the pro's/cons thread, I am enjoying the speedup in FPS and physics, I DEFFFF notice a difference, and it is more than welcome!! heres my BANANAA!!
Re: BANANA Bench (Beam ANAlysis NAarrator) Results and my result def explains why whe I watch youtube vids, and everything seems so fluid, and my game always felt a little more "slow-mo" compared to them...still does, but again, my FPS gains are a breath f fresh air!
Re: BANANA Bench (Beam ANAlysis NAarrator) Results @Tdev: If i were to compile a list of all the results, how should they be sorted? Max Mbeams/s? Or number of vehicles @x% realtime?
Re: BANANA Bench (Beam ANAlysis NAarrator) Results so, i went ahead and edited my benchmark thingy to change vehicles, so here's a few diff vehicles on the i5-3330: Moonhawk: Pigeon: Covet: GM: if you have any other vehicle requests from my cpu, just say so in this thread (will make instructions on how to change the vehicle in a few moments)
Re: BANANA Bench (Beam ANAlysis NAarrator) Results This is the result with a lot of stuff already running: (imported from here)
Re: BANANA Bench (Beam ANAlysis NAarrator) Results My 4770k: Much faster than Juju's 4770k ? How can that be?
Re: BANANA Bench (Beam ANAlysis NAarrator) Results my non overclocked 4670k at 3.4ghz, interesting to see the difference (imported from here)
