I didn't notice this problem last night when i played but every time i open BeamNG and select small island the wind noise is awful. I can hardly hear the engine because of how loud it is, while i don't mind the engine noises since they are passable the wind noise is almost painful at the volume it is at. Because engine noises and environmental noises are on the same slider in the options i cant do anything about it there. At the moment i am deleting all sound fx generators before i play on some maps.

the sound system will need a complete overhaul, we will replace it completely.

Is it possible that in the short term future you could either turn it down a little or give the engine a separate slider?

I understand that there is not much point working on the current system but it would be nice if you could patch that functionality into the game on a minor update.

that sounds like it could be the ocean instead of the wind to me.

Its not, but they seem to have a very similar sound. While i just delete all of the sounds you can see that the emitters are above trees

I've been looking for somebody else who is having this problem. I agree that it is not the ocean, though it sounded like it to me at first.

I appreciate the update so far regardless of this somewhat annoying issue.

I think the sound is from amb_treewind or something like that, you can remove its emitters manually which removes that problem. Its a temporary fix, but better then none.
