Hello, I was just wondering if BeamNG.drive can run on any of the GeForce RTX graphics cards? Thanks!

I run BeamNG on an RTX 2060. My laptop has especially bad cooling so I mostly get 30-50 frames a second. You should be fine with an RTX card.

I don't see why it wouldn't? The RTX series provides nothing more than just a "standard" card, but with the optional ray tracing you can enable

I run a GT 710 for comparison, and I still get alright graphics (my 14 year old monitor doesn't help me, but I can average 30-60 fps, map dependent)

This was an upgrade - I had an Intel iGPU 630 and needed at least a little VRAM. Look up my computer for why I only got that. ;)

I upgraded from a GTX 660 to a RTX 2080 Super, and went straight from 7 Max Realtime Vehicles to 20, runs at max settings without any problems.

if it ran on my 970, it can easily run on an rtx. CPU is an important factor too, I'm a bit bottlenecked by my 8600k.

all pc specs in my signature:

    my main rig runs beam at a solid 60 with 1 vehicle, 58 with 2, 55 with 3, 50 with 4 etc

the xps 720 runs it at 20fps with a friggin hd 5850 from 2009. not really sure how lol

my laptop which has a gt720m and a 4th gen i5. runs it at about 20fps too.

the ray tracing part of the rtx series is unlikely to be a thing for a while. however, the 2060super which is what I have runs similarly to a gtx 1070/1080 when it comes to normal gaming.

a slightly accurate thing I came up with was

the newest gen x60 card will perform similar the previous gen x80 card

ie. the gtx 1060, is similar in performance to a gtx 980 and a gtx 960 is similar to a gtx 780 etc.

I have alot of performance issues with my laptop. I haven't exactly figured out why however im guessing its to do with the cooling or software (Performance settings).

(And beam don't like my laptop that much, I have no idea why tho).

My 2070 s is bottlenecking my 9900k, I think I'm gonna upgrade to the upcoming 3080 ti or equivalent, beamng runs fine on anything above a 1050 ti and above
