Pressure groups can cause weird behaviors at times, and they're required to make things float.

I'll have to do more testing to see if I can fix those issues, but the floatation box is a fairly even box already, which the wiki says should be enough to avoid ghost forces. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

could you give it independent steering, one set of wheels gets forward power and the other set of wheels goes in reverse like a skid steer or tank please

Do you think you could make a version with 4 wheels like a golf cart?

So far I've found out it can climb 45* slopes, which is amazing

Interesting vehicle, I guess the steering is more comfort with paddle shifters discrete switching (or any else button's switches) and not wheel because of handling slow response. And motorbike handlebar is not good option for this vehicle due to principle of steer (imho). I think more proper in this case is two handles like tank's ones. Also vehicle always suffers of starving of oil at 40 degrees.

with your series of "heavy machinery", are you planning on making a garden tractor at all?

This thing is incredibly capable as is, but I would like to suggest some things to make it even more capable. For one, this thing definitely needs either a manual/automatic transmission, or a little turbo attached to that little diesel. It just doesn't have enough torque to turn in some situations, even if its on a dirt road. And the CVT doesn't help at all. If I could just take charge of the transmission it would be much easier to control this little beast. Another thing, would be a dry sump oil system (idk if those are implemented yet, but I'm sure it wouldn't take much coding to just remove the oil starvation). Every time I'm driving up one of the hills in Utah, it's totally capable of doing it, until the engine kicks the bucket due to oil starvation, which is somewhat annoying.

If you guys want to see the IRL equivalent, look up "Argo 8x8"
They have handlebars, CVTs, and the exact same steering system this has. It can be seen in videos where they steer and instantly one set of wheels comes to a stop.

First of all, really nice looking mod. I also really missed that kind of vehicle so I am really happy You made it. But...

I cannot for the life of me steer with that thing on any hard surface but gravel, that engine will not pull anything up the hill (especially if I can't turn to correct for sliding when climbing).
The rest of what I see as "problems" is mostly irrelevant since all the specs seem to very well correspond to the real life counterparts even generously is some regards (I mean the top speed on water is like 3km/h above irl counterpart, are you for real?).

Great Job on the mod and looking forwards to more.

Yeah, this is something I need to investigate. Worst case scenario I think there's a setting to turn that off.

The real thing uses handlbars. Considering it steers by actuating a set of brakes, handlebars give you a decent bunch of leverage which is a good thing.

I'd like to have a video or something of it being "unable to turn".

In my experience the only surface where it's an issue is prepped asphalt, where it is in fact incapable of turning. It also does bleed a lot of speed when turning on regular asphalt, although I haven't had major issues with it if you just keep steering and keep the pedal down until it's pointing the right way. Keep in mind this thing isn't meant to be fast.

And I guarantee you that having a transmission with separate gears wouldn't help. The current CVT is enough for the engine to always be at least at maximum torque if you keep the pedal all the way down, and keeps it at max power as long as you have a tiny bit of speed. As much hate as CVT get IRL for the noise and reliability, they are the superior transmission when it comes to performance.

Well I've figured out why it doesn't wanna turn. This thing weighs TWICE as much as it's real life counterpart. Now, in beam, 100lb difference here or there isn't really that noticable, but when it's a 900lb difference (dry weight, most basic version), that's a big problem.
