Hey, the enthusiasm hasn't died down. The project is still actively being worked on, it will be an incredible experience !
I read through The whole thread, I’m aware it’s still being worked on. I just meant all the people freakin out at the beginning kind of died down, which I can understand. Not implying this is dead at all, I know it’s active
Yeah! We're currently working on optimization, it's come a long way and the best way to bring excitement is to release.
i dont think lag would be caused from lack of optimization but the fact that beamng drive only loads and renders cars on 1 core on your computer (i have a 6 core computer) which is why a powerful computer wont make too much difference when it comes to lag, if beamng drive made it so cars where loaded and rendered on every core i would technicly run around 54 - 60 cars at 70 fps on max graphics. its kinda beamng drives fault (a little) that they make the game work like this, i still love the game and am excited for the mod to come out!
i'd rather wait a couple extra months than have some rushed mod. please don't rush mod creators. besides im pretty sure falefee is also working on a NFSMW meme mod --- Post updated --- no. bad.
We're currently looking for BeamNG players with lower end PCs to help shape BeamNG Paradise. Apply here if interested. Make sure to also join our Discord!
Holy crap, we've come so far and we've only got a second demo? Some people might be annoyed about that but personally I find myself all the more excited, because if it's been so long and it's still only a demo, then God only knows just how much detail and fun the full experience will be. You're really going all-out on this map it seems. Can't wait to see it. I swear... if EA or something puts a C&D on this... that happened to a lot of my favorite fan projects. Someone makes a cool thing and the company/publisher C&Ds them. A really good way to piss the community off, honestly. I'm hoping it doesn't happen with this. I remember hearing about Little Big Planet: Restitched. Even Media Molecule was praising them, but of course Sony had to be a dick and stop it. I mean... yes, it's copyright among a bunch of other things, but come on... I'm pretty sure it was going to be F2P anyways, so it's not like there was a financial problem here.
I really appreciate your interest man. It's been a long time since I've started working on this mod, and it's been nothing short of a collaborative effort. Recently with COVID-19 hitting it's eaten so much of my free time, and to be honest has demotivated me even more overall which is what's slowing the mod development down so much. It's unfortunate, but I won't give up on the mod, because it's not worth it, no matter how busy or slow I am. Right now with Demo 2 on my end is to finish the events and script some little things for a polished product that'll represent what you can expect for the full version. Full map on the other hand needs a lot of hand work, like cleaning up a stupid amount of models and we're about half way done with that, and that'll bring us to a first release that'll still be considered beta. I hope to get to those this weekend and hope this fills the silence in this thread for a bit. More talk on Discord.
