I ve noticed it too, but for next update i wish me better Brakes for some Cars, even the race Brakes are poor....
Bed liner coming for the next D-series update? Just saw this, and i´m fairly certain i don´t have a mod that adds the slot, since there is nothing there that can be selected anyway. But i haven´t checked with safe mode yet. Picture for reference.
dug around in the combustion engine lua (lua/vehicle/powertrain/combustionEngine.lua) found various things relating to degredation of part condition over mileage accumulation, possibly career related it increases friction, engine idle speed fluctuation and thermal output of worn down parts
I just hope for adjustable idle on all the older carburetted engines, all of them idle way to low, hence why there is no noticeable drop in rpm when shifting from neutral to a gear. Instead of 600-700 rpm which is borderline stalling they should idle at 900-1100 rpm which is era/period correct, im not sure about newer engines but the Burnside, Bluebuck, Moonhawk and the Barstow are all affected with this... incorrectness (wow that's actually a word)
I beg to differ. 1100 RPM is arguably too high for an idle and it would cause a vehicle with an automatic trans to potentially creep too fast without throttle application. For example, my 1956 Willys idles at just ~500 RPM fine with a Carter 2-bbl carb. My parents' 1973 Ford Gran Torino idles from ~600 to ~800 RPM (the range of RPM is due to the choppy idle caused by the big solid roller cam/lifters lol) with a built 460 topped by a Edelbrock 750 CFM 4-bbl.
it doesn't raise or lower overall idle rpm, all it does is change how choppy said idle is, like a nasty big cam or whatever
It creates a range of RPM for the idle though, rather than just a steady idle. So essentially it is constantly raising and lowering the idle RPM as the engine reacts to the increased lift and duration of the cam lobes.
So. Including this, I've noticed some other "preparations" for parts like ETK 800 spoilers and lips.... and most importantly, every vehicle has the ADITIONAL MODIFICATION file now. It is empty, but something will fill it. Any ideas?
they will either add more parts in the future, or its there for mods, and it doesn't disappear like it used to.
Jato, wings, jato + wings Spoiler *CRUNCH Crash Cling Clang Meow Thud... ...Slow hissing of various components
oooh that would be intresting --- Post updated --- the empty parts thing must be a glitch, because now on the fr17 (which has had no updates since 0.20) has a left radiator and front sway bar slot that didn't exist before, and the only option is empty.
Well remember those are modified engines, not stock. My 1976 Holden Torana idles at about 950~ and hardly creeps forward at all, I need to jab the throttle to get moving. Its little 253 V8 with an Edelbrock manifold with a Holley 650 (huge I know) on it but the rest is stock, not that that many people on this forum would know much about Australian engines anyway, and the transmission is a Trimatic or in American speak and Hydramatic 180. And just about all of the Falcon V8s had an idle ranging from 850-1200 (the latter on the GTHO's) and these engines are the 302 and 351 (I don't think the 289 has such a high idle im not sure ive never worked on one before)
