0.20 Discussion thread | Use Safe Mode before reporting

I was having problem with mods and after clear cache (took a bit) most of them are fine. Even that "agents_mods_old_s***_pack" works fine for me

 

Are you able to load the 3 series in ?

 

The Hide part feature in the part selector is not working. Checked in safe mode.

 

Please remove the hashing files on Clear Cache, since we already have a DEDICATED Verify integrity button

 

helo and i sused safe mode and suddenly the mods i installed ar gone heped pls

 

that's what safe mode is for, it disables the mods in case they're breaking something. just go back to the in game mod page and re-enable them.

 

So today I've spent some time obtaining more details of broken mods if they can be tackled by the dev team,

The 3 series does not spawn at all, and gives these errors:

For replacing of tyres for affected mods, the tyres provided are of the incorrect size. This isn't limited to one mod, but I'm not sure what causes this to happen on the affected mods.

The author is working on it but I wonder if there are any issues that can be fixed on the dev's end

Although the car still stops, race brakes would be nice on the new pessima and the LeGran as they both overheat the brakes on the second lap of WCUSA



Edit: Race springs, race shocks, race sway bars, and race brakes for the hopper maybe? (Also there is some weird coloring on the simple brake thermals app in this video)

 

Flycam could be faster IMO, in or out of photomode! 10 is just too slow and annoying!

 

press alt and use the mouse whee to change it. you go into photomode it makes it go slow

 

I have the same issue with muted crash sounds, even after v0.20.1.2! Here´s a comparison between 0.19.1 and 0.20.1.2 - You can hear that the crash sounds in 0.19.1 are way more realistic. Not sure why this change was made, but it would be nice if the devs could revert it somehow.

Why? That wouldn't be era-correct for the car.

Because the recent major update changed many tires, it's no surprise that certain tires which existed in 0.19 but not in 0.20 results in many mods spawning without tires. And even with the hotfix that allows custom wheels to show up once again in the parts selector menu, said wheels are likely to be incompatible with 0.20 tires in terms of fitment (one of which you pointed out is an example of that).

It's unlikely that the developers would revert back to the 0.19-era tires, but luckily for people like you, I created a simple add-on that adds back certain 0.19 tires for 0.20. Keep in mind that it's considered a beta of some sort, but at least there is something that would solve the aforementioned issue on a variety of mods and configurations.

 

It seems like the game doesn't load the updated version of materials.json files when doing "Ctrl-R", I have to load a new map to get it to update.

 

Is anyone else experiencing very poor performance on the Industrial & Port map? Despite lowering my graphics I get huge fps drops all over the place. Even Italy runs 1000x better.

 

I find that this happens due to the grass and bushes, when you drive through them. The grabbing and slowing down of the vehicle causes massive frame drop.
