I hate new things when the "new thing" in question is just a move in the direction of authoritarianism. Sadly, that's not a "new thing" anymore, and has infected "Amerika" to a saddening degree as well.
Put in dual Skar SDR-12 subwoofers and a Skar 1200W amp this weekend. Bumps pretty good. Hopefully mounting the amp under my back seat won't set the Jeep on fire lol
A 1991 Caprice Classic with the original 305 engine and 700r4 tranny. Got the heavy duty suspension and brakes option from the factory and a 2.56 limited slip rear axle. --- Post updated --- Today my speedometer started acting up but that's not the first time it did that so I kinda had an idea what the problem was already. You see over the last 6 months my Caprice ate up 2 plastic gears for the vehicle speed sensor so I popped that out real quick and what a surprise the driven gear was again chewed up. So I finally bit the bullet and ordered a brand new speed sensor for 80€ and now the speedo is finally working right again. I also found out the reason why it chewed up my speedometer gears all the time. Everytime I took the sensor out to inspect it and spin it by hand the shaft was turning freely and the voltage readings were also correct but today I took it out when it was hot and that fucker was binding intermittently so it put way too much stress on the plastic gears thus wearing them out so fast! Should've ordere a new sensor right from the start and not spend 100€ on new speedo gears just to pay 80€ for a new sensor in the end anyway ...

^ Nice BSA, I have a soft spot for Brits, athough we haven't had any in the family in a long time. Anyway, did a 2060km road trip last week. Went fairly well, lost a driver's side low beam bulb and the engine guard (that was partly my fault). Got some new parts too, coolant expansion tank, rear brake pads and slider pins for right side caliper, stainless steel rear muffler and some exhaust hanger rubbers. Just got the bunch of new parts, so what's a better time for the radiator to go...

I knew there had to be a way around those. I'll remember that in case I ever have to hotwire my own car.
So news on the golf: Its dead the Immobilizer isnt the problem the Instrument Cluster is dead the ABS Module is dead the rear springs are flat and the whole car is full of rust. Its a real shame the engine would be still fine and only has 160k km on it.
Ah yes we'll then I have the solution for you. Buy an old vw beetle (1966-1980 something) those last forever. Or a Fiat 126p
I was kinda tired of my umbrella in the MX-5. It is not convenient to have it in the trunk and it rattled if it was between the seat and style bar :/. So I made and printed some mounts: Mockup on wood before drilling through the plexiglass: Final product: I might paint them but I want to see how they hold up first. First tests over bumps and roundabouts went well
Probably the most low country car mod imaginable. If it rained more here I would probably do something similar.
