i have a weird bug where the mod stays even when i uninstalled it, how do you properly uninstall it? (i know this thread i more than 2 months old)
I downloaded the mod, put it in the mods folder, beamng says it is there when i look at my in-game mods, but i don't see it in the vehicle selector even though i restarted baemng. Any help is appreciated
The last relevant date given for the Mod was back in 2018. It's now 2020 and a lot of the vehicles in BeamNG including the Hopper have undergone extensive changes making older mods such as this one outdated, and unusable.
Well perhaps not, since these are basically just remodeled lights, front grill, and mirrors. I don't believe any of those things were changed very much. Its just visual changes to the Hopper, no like new LUAs or extra pieces, or internal parts. Its just visuals so maybe it would still work. But, I know basically zero about modding in this game, so I very well could be entirely wrong.
Nope, the files were totally changed, the way they were coded and what not. So this mod won't work. They added a lot of new parts like the crawler stuff almost a year ago or so, and when they did that they had to rework the coding. This mod was made before the changes happened. Changing coding and the way coding works will result in this mod not working, unless the author updates the mod to utilize the current coding and file changes. Like there are many hopper mods that should still work cause the overall shape and design of the hopper hasn't changed, but because the coding and files were changed/updated, those mods no longer work or you only get a couple parts to work. Like the D-Up Mod for the chassis lift for the D-Series still works in game, but because they changed where the drive shaft is located in the parts selection the mod won't work cause you won't be able to use or mess with the driveshaft in any sort of way. That came about because of coding changes and file changes.
