Art folder - proper location?

    For me personally, I download Mercedes mods. I have found zero mods here on Beamng. But I've found 6-7 amazingly done mods with full customization with real life counterparts. So I've had a good experience.

    I have no idea how you can get benz mods. If you search at google, you can find two mods. But outdated, outadated!
    And others? brivate, brivate, brivate, brivate, brivate.................
    there's no benz mod which is selling

    and people don't sell mods cause if you want to sell mods, they need to modeling, converting, put jbeam... and etc.

    Ok what the heck is actually going on here.
    Who even said that selling mods is illegal?? Why would it be? But what is illegal is stealing mods, and that's what these Russian websites do. They do it for money because their websites are set up in a way that they earn money when people visit them/download their stuff. That's how a lot of sketchy websites work as far as I know. Are you wondering why their mods are packaged incorrectly or must be installed in a weird way? They do it so you have no other easy option than to open an .exe file. You open a lot of these files and they work, you get used to it. And then one of them is a trojan. I think a virus is rare but you can get it if you install many of these mods. Never open their .exe files, what I would do instead would be manually downloading the mod and then repackaging it (to answer the question, the Art folder goes in the same folder as Vehicles, which is the mod's own folder, and that goes in Mods, NOT IN VEHICLES). But why would you even consider downloading mods from there? The only good ones there are stolen and using them is disrespecting the original creator, even when they give credit, because they get money when you download it and the author gets nothing, and also because the author never gave them permission to reupload the mod. There are actually plenty of good mods based on real life cars on the repository that just have different names. Also the fact that a mod has real life engine names and some customization doesn't make it good, I wonder how good it is in terms of Jbeam, model or textures. Sorry for a long post that will probably get deleted for "flaming", "trolling" or "starting drama" like a lot of my other posts.

    Selling mods/paying for mods is not illegal, but it is believed to be. Someone asked someone else to make one, and hes working on it did. Nadeox1 even said its fine. And the reason they tell you to put it in the wrong folder is because they want it to show up as a car the game comes with.
