I mean probably all of them. There is a whole team of people working on the game, so many things are developed parallel to each other. This is just a wild guess as I don't work for the game, but most likely the pre-runner truck has a team dedicated to it, the remastered vehicles is another team. The jungle rock island remaster is the map team. The ui is a different team, etc.
Here's some serious speculation: Looking back, 0.18 was the utah remaster and hopper crawler, 0.19 was the vivace and small island remaster, 0.20 was the port/industrial remaster, and should've been the pickup crawler/prerunner. But it wasn't released. 0.21 should be the pickup crawler/prerunner, and the west coast usa remaster. Following the pattern, the pickup crawler prerunner should've come out in 0.20, and a car should come out in 0.21. But no car is near ready to be released. The only car that has been teased is the wendover. But it seems that the pandemic put the schedule back a little bit. So the 2 ways the future schedule seems to be is 1: 0.20.3, pickup crawler/prerunner and WCUSA remaster; 0.21.0, JRI remaster and Wendover; Or 2: 0.21.0, WCUSA remaster and Pickup crawler and prerunner; 0.22.0, JRI and Wendover.
I know I'm a bit late on this, but what about this one? Where does it fall on the cool wall? --- Post updated --- Just realized I don't know if Top Gear AU had that or if it was only Top Gear UK, but I think you get the point Cool or not cool?
The street lights are new (admittedly that's the only difference I see). Hopefully this will be a good map for night driving—we could use a city that never sleeps.
My best advice to everyone in this thread is to not get your hopes up for the revamp of WCUSA. Unless they are pulling a miracle, you are bound to be dissapointed by the rather "meaningless" changes that they are making. Im guessing most of the work is being done on the backend, to improve performance and minor details like those lamp post that are mentioned above. But beyond that, dont expect anything else.
I completely agree with this, even if it means my expectations aren't promised. I mean, WCUSA is pretty big for it's size but really the only thing I think will come with the remaster is some new light poles, some more vegetation and some finished buildings that are under construction at the moment.
After finally getting this game redownloaded and looking at the Industrial Site remake, I couldn't help but notice a couple things missing. Namely, the drift and off-road courses that no one ever thought about or used. I also noticed something else: trees and ground (of lower quality, of course) for miles beyond the edge of the playable area, including low-quality roads continuing for... quite a ways. I hope at some point the map gets expanded into this area, and we see the return of the drift and off-road courses.
Theres so much space left outside industrial, I once drove a vivace rally as far as I could, after 10 mins, I made it to the ocean. There was still much more land to travel, I was traveling away from the beach btw. So maybe (not anytime soon) there could be an expansion.
Pretty sure that outer area is just to add some scenery to the outside of the map rather than an unrealistic void.
The drift course is still there; it's just going through some warehouses now. I think the off-road course might still be there as well, but I am not a hundred percent sure.
I don't know, but I've been visiting this thread alot lately, the only thing that I did is that I made a bunch of comments before checking my notifications on this thread and other ones, so now for all of those threads im not getting notified. This site overthinks everything. Oh he isn't clicking on the notification for that thread? I guess he doesn't want to watch it anymore!
If you watching a thread but don't post anything it stop sending the notifications. However if you check out the thread again it will start sending notifications again for a while.
