Enable light flares?

I've been messing around with my graphics alot since I really want the light flares. May someone tell me how to get the flares?

I don't know if it was disabled till the next update or if its just me, but when I use my headlights either low or high beams, they don't "emit" any light to light up the terrain in front of the car, they just have the ON texture on the actual headlight. My lighting is set to lowest for FPS, but previously, the lights actually worked even if I was set to LOWEST in the lighting quality option. ideas?

 

Mines work fine. Is it on all maps or just unofficial ones you had before the update ?

 

no, official, non-official maps, the lights just turn on, but no light is emitted from them...running the updater now, hopefully that fixes this

 

Then put your lighting quality to at least low

UPDATE JUST NOW: Turned HDR off, works nicely.

Gosh, still crazy.

 

Keep on changing it until you think the lights are good

 

My computer can't even run the game with lighting on low

 

is there a way to have working headlights on lowest lighting quality?
