OUr vauxhall VXR8 is based on the HSV GTS too rather than a stock holden commodore.

But most british cars are manual gearbox, heck if you pass your drivers test in an automatic you don't get given a full license and instead get an automatic only license and increased insurance premiums

Mmhm. If it wasn't stupidly expensive and a pain in the rear I wouldn't mind importing a VXR8.

lol. British car insurance is full of silliness, but the licensing thing is great. Even if you never touch a clutch pedal again knowing how to use one should be a pre-requisite for holding a driving license.

Well, most people taking an auto only license have either some sort of medical ailment making it more difficult for them to operate a vehicle or have failed their manual only test. Regardless the insurers see it as an auto only license holder being somewhat inept in comparison to a full license holder and sure enough accident statistics back up their point. Having a full license and owning an auto has no impact on insurance though. Manual is dominant but auto's aren't rare.

Off the top of my head I think its brazil and russia (and most likely others too) where you cannot get a drivers license unless you pass in a manual, there is none of this auto only license in between or US style just let everyone at it.

Lets face it though, stick shift is not hard. I've only driven an auto transmission for all of about 100 metres, the most boring 100 metres I have ever driven, what the hell is the left side of my body meant to be doing???

No, no it isn't, and I hear that. My mom's got an automatic in her '96 Explorer and every time I drive it I end up accidentally going for a clutch pedal that isn't there....much to the ABS system's chagrin. So used to having that third pedal in my pickups. And it bugs me on hills, too, since I'm used to kicking down a gear and letting engine vacuum hold my speed which doesn't work very well, if at all, in an auto.

(like i said in the page before though, i do plan on learning to drive a manual (meaning ill soon be one of the few american's who actually learnt to do so) but for now, i drive an auto, until i can find a way to learn to drive a manual, when i don't actually have a manual vehicle to do so with (and i don't know anyone near me who has one))

This is my second favorite car in development, my first favorite being the Soliad. What can I say, I love me an 80's FWD, dead-rear-axle turdslab on wheels ;)

....a miserable, depressing and pathetic car this is. A wagon version could only make it better..lol. I want to see this car die endlessly and hoping against hope it finds it's way to our vehicle files soon!

So excited for a wagon in this game.

As someone who derbies IRL and also enjoys derbying in this game, my only request is that this car also gets some form of frame mounted pushbar/steel bumper for derbying

I hope you can see they are not ready yet. They are shells, nothing more. There is no underbody yet, and it isn't jbeamed. So, this isn't really ready yet.

Yes, let's resent the person who probably played the tech demo and is waiting to buy the game.

Gabester, you make amazing cars. But I have a suggestion that I'm sure many would agree with. In game, I'd like to see more modern looking cars, not just 90s style cars. Maybe even a modern supercar of some sort? Just a little constructive criticism! :D
