So, I was playing around with the environment tab and noticed there's a temperature now, is there a way to change it?
press f11, then go to the tab on the left, swipe all the way up, and find sunandsky, open it and select levelinfo, then look to the right and find temperature curve, and change the temperature next to the number and large decimal.
I understand that, but thank you. But air temp can affect the vehicles idle Which goes back to my question of Does it affect vehicles, Which most likely not
Unfortunately not, but it does affect how fast brakes heat up/cool down and same for engines. Climbing hills in a Burnside, watch your temp gauge on a 100F day! (Utah). I hope there is a slider implemented to change the temperature soon.
someone tried to see if it affects engines in this video engines all start as normal until it gets cold enough to where they'll refuse to turn over it'd be neat to see actual cold starting conditions implemented at some point
It would be interesting to make the atmosphere around the vehicle have the ability to make it colder or higher in temp. Leaving the vehicle with a situation like overheating or just not able to turn over.
Reset to default layout so you see SceneTree on the left and Inspector window on the right. LevelInfo is hidden somewhere in the SceneTree depending on the map. It's the one marked with Info symbol. It could have been renamed, but by default it is theLevelInfo. https://www.beamng.com/threads/change-the-temperature.73966/
It would be cool if they went full nerd and gave approximate GPS coordinates and date to get a realistic sun position and weather temp.
