This track was originally from rFactor2. Then it was converted be Tiago from rFactor2 to Assetto Corsa. Here is the download link that Tiago posted: www.racedepartment.com/downloads/circuit-24h-lemans-2017.2482/ I sent Tiago a dm asking for permission to convert the map to Beamng. He said I could as long as I gave credit to the original authors of the map. I took a screenshot so I could post it here as proof. However, my stupid self, being stupid, accidentally deleted the screenshot. How? By cleaning up the mess of files that I had on my computer, which was running out of space, and accidentally deleting my whole screenshots folder. I asked Tiago (again) if I could convert the map to beamng. I have yet to hear a response. I may try to improve the quality someday. However, I'm currently learning how to mod vehicles for Beamng. I also have things going on irl. I'm mainly focusing on modding vehicles though. I'm open to people improving or editing this track. If you would like to, I would appreciate it if you could ask for permission, explain what you plan to do with the track, and dm the file to me so I can post it on this thread. Thanks! Wow, someone actually liked my map. Anyway, I'm still editing the model I imported the track into the game but it still has a bunch of things that I need to add. Here is another replay, but there are some parts where the camera does some weird stuff. The new replay is the second one I posted.
That was me lol. I can't wait honestly. I tried porting maps over but the way I was doing it by exporting the map to one giant mesh was very hit or miss.
Oof, I learned that trying to export a map in one mesh didn't work well if it did at all. The frame rate would be horrible. I'm working on preventing that from happening by separating the map into different pieces. (btw thankyou for the support, it really helps)
tbh I don't know. I guess Circut de la Sarthe isn't popular. btw I think it will be released a lot sooner than I was expecting since editing the track has been going a lot quicker than I thought it would.
Here are the chicanes. I will be keeping them since I want to keep the track as accurate as possible. Some of the objects and textures aren't in yet since they are connected to the terrain itself, so they will be added later.
btw does anybody have the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR AMG mod shown in this video If you do, do you think you would be able to pm it to me? I would like to use it to try to replicate the 1999 Mercedes flip at Lemans in a trailer for this track.
Mercedes CLK GTR mod can be found by pasting the link in the description of the video and using it on the wayback machine. The mod sitll works luckily https://web.archive.org/web/2016101....com/threads/mercedes-benz-clk-gtr-amg.28722/
I'm currently removing that whole mess around the track in Blender. Once I remove all that, I can import parts of the terrain and add the greenery.
I imported some other objects: Its not much but I plan on adding parts of the terrain in a week or two.
Wow, I've been waiting for this for so long! I'd love to see the final result. Do you think we'll be also able to drive on the nearby roads that aren't part of the track itself? Half of the track becomes a public road when there's no racing, so it would be cool to have that. Also, would the Bugatti Circuit (and maybe karting) be included? I'll keep an eye on this mod, great job so far!
