Even though I am only making the JBeam, and not most of the physical models, it started out as a Hummer with a different name. Over time though Sithhy grew to not want that, so he seems to slowly be trying to change every aspect of the truck to be unique to his new Brutus brand. This was it a while ago... This is it now... There is not one single model shared between these two photos except maybe the frame. I think he plans on leaving the frame and underlying drivetrain alone, but that's about it. So it will be a Hummer H1... but it will look slightly different on just about every corner. It will drive exactly how you expect it too though. That part I will be sure of.
Alright sounds brilliant thank you for letting me know, Hummer will forever be my favourite SUV Brand and my favourite SUV will always be the H1
I realize that many people have already said this, but this looks incredibly cool so far. Also, I was wondering a few things, not to sound pushy or anything. 1) How is the optimization as a whole at the moment? 2) How is the interior looking so far? Once again, this looks excellent. I am excited.
Same dude, same. I have always wanted an H1 ever since I was a little kid and they always seem to be one step ahead of me on what I can actually afford. Some day though... some day. Ummm... Optimization... well, while I haven't done anything specific to really "optimize" it, I have been slowly hunting down and removing nodes and beams that are no longer necessary. Plus every time I encounter something that is unstable or a node that is constantly rubbing against a plane causing excessive collision calculations, I try to fix it as soon as possible. Right now it runs very well... basically about the same CPU load as a kitted out Roamer probably. Loading in is the big issue, but I think that a lot of that has to do with the fact that I have it uncompressed. I think a lot of the vehicle loading improvements that have been added to the game recently have had to do with loading the compressed .zip vehicles and not the uncompressed ones. At the moment, after you have cleared the cache and are loading the B1 for the first time, it takes a solid 2 minutes to load up. After the first load, each load after that is about a good 30 seconds... it takes a bit. Also take note though that I am loading it from a classical hard drive spinny boi... I think Sithhy actually has an SSD so his might be much faster. I also think this has something to do with textures as a lot of them are kinda goofed up right now (no thanks to me) so that might be on the table as well. As for the interiors, the military one... well there just isn't much to see... it's basically done short of needles on the gauges. The Civilian interior is mostly all in game now short of a couple things... like I think I still have to put in the rearview mirror and stuff like that. But also it basically just needs needles on the gauges and it would be done as well. Having said that however, there are plans to chop it up to make it modular just like the bodies are, as right now there is a different interior for each body style (not very efficient) and on top of that, we plan on using the current Civilian interior as the "old" interior, and a second interior is already in the works. I would show you what that looks like, but even I am not sure what that is gonna look like yet. I think Sithhy is about 20% done with it? So who knows what the mad man will come up with next. Well, honestly it really depends on the config. For a stripped down Military truck variant, I think it's around the high 6 to low 7,000 lbs mark. If you load the crap out of everything with massive tires, the biggest engine, wagon body, full exo cage, big bull bar, tall snorkel, and every body attachment you can slap on there... you will probably get close to tipping the scales at 10,000 lbs. I would tell you the actual numbers, but I am sitting at work unable to look right now.
Rebasing out "textures" to as many ingame ones as possible so the B1 will look tip-top for the release. With those new textures, the wheels we have made for the B1 look 100x better
Welcome to the forum, I’m glad you joined. Something that we tell all new people who ask this question, please don’t ask it. The mod author often doesn’t have a set release date and asking for it is just annoying most of the time. Thanks!
is this mod broken or is it just a me problem cant download havent read all replies yet btw ~soggygarlicbread
it's not broken it just has yet to be released most people will get upset when they see someone ask this question so please don't ask it on the forums. thank you
So, I'm always thinking when mod makers say stuff like " Tip-Top for release", im guessing the progress is pretty far in? Also, Is there a civilian version?
