we all hate when the drive shaft breaks we should have different options for stronger driveshafts on your vehicle

driveshafts are already pretty strong in my opinion. Adding unbreakable driveshafts would be pretty unrealistic

Well for the etk 800 and k series, I would like that. You get rear ended at 30 mph and driveshaft is bwoken

I haven't personally noticed the driveshafts breaking too often, idk though.

Yeah, IRL you can disintegrate a typical steel driveshaft just from clutch-dumping a stock vehicle or suddenly applying some form of extreme load on the drive tires while they are under power (been there, done that). Aluminum driveshafts are even worse. In BeamNG, it seems that a driveshaft can only take damage when a vehicle is involved in an accident where the tailshaft of the transmission is no longer in line with the differential yoke or at too short/long of a distance from each other. In rare instances, I have been able to break a driveshaft using one of the in-game drag cars and leaving on the transbrake with extreme power on the line.

Driveshafts only ever break for me when using mods that make engines more powerful. Or after crashes but that's normal. There is no need for stronger ones in the game as they often come with mods (CJD Special Tunes and DuneWulff's Config Pack have them for some vehicles)

YES THATS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING we need those types of driveshafts

But you wanted stronger driveshafts, not weaker ones...

    You lost me

Stronger ones wouldn't really be realistic.

We tried making shafts break if you put too much torque through them, but for a variety of reasons it did not really add anything to the game and didn't behave the way you would expect, so the idea was discarded.
