Hello, This is my first mod, just trying to learn the basics. Most hand done, so maybe not the best looking, and small. I am also playing with a lot of the settings so the images may not look to good. Its a tumbler track and a few things to try and discover. I only use 4x4s to test, I doubt a car can make it through the track. Maybe not some trucks. I enjoy off road, and this mod reflects that.. And as many spend there times smoothing there roads, I spent time making it rough. Getting around the track with out flipping is not easy, and its a track to be learned.
I have the basic track completed, just need to now refine the map. Anyway I hope to complete in a few weeks. I am having good time with it myself and I think a few off roads fanatics might as well. spike.png curve.jpg

First map, let me know if its hosed. Hid 5 crystals, if you feel like looking for them. This is a tumbler mainly for trucks, however, added one road track as well.

I think I my have downloaded and tried your mod, I will check tonight. I actually have downloaded quite a few, try them and move on. I just havent had the time to even really expore the ones I liked. Most the ones I do download are the off road ones. If I havent got it, I will take a look.

    Thanks.

I have had a little more time to work on this map. I am maybe 90% done. I tried all kinds of things with different configurations and somehow caused an orange color on the terran. I can make a hill and it can remove the orange, but I really didnt want to do that. Has any one else seen this? I thought it was the sun reflection but it just stays there. Anyway any help would be appreciated. I have added a few more pics.

I actually smoothed the track out a little more, so now a vehicle maybe able to make it around the track without damage. I used sketchup for a few simple models, more of an exercise for me. I just started learning Blender, so maybe my next map will look a little better. Maybe 2 to 3 hours more work and Ill be ready for release. I think its a fun little map.

For some reason, having trouble adding pictures this time around. Finally got it to work. Notice the orange glow in the arena, there is a few spots outside the arena as well. It looks ok in the arena, but outside of it, it does not.

Well, I havent given up quite yet. I have put in 2-3 more hours and still not done. I do have the track pretty much done and it is rough. The Arena and jumps are completed. I still need to do the following:

    1) Optimize, I am going to remove alot of the vegetation and work on lowering shadows and visable distance. I really want it to run well.

    2) I want to test a few more vehicles on it and maybe do a basic time test around the track.

    3) I want to put together a decent video. This is a learning curve to me as well. I am going to use Open Broadcaster Software and Microsoft Movie editor. My first tries came out looking like S**t, I did some research and need to try some new settings.

    4) Need to fix the sky the horizon has that stupid black arc or what ever it is, My sky has to somehow be lowered.

My setup is in my basement which is now being remodeled. I am going to drag my computer upstairs but will have to plug it into a crappy monitor. I am going to try and make a decent video tonight. My other issue is my working input map is for my wheel, which I will not be able to bring upstairs. Anyways I am really looking forward to get this out there.

Any tips on the things I need to get done are always apprieciated.

Added Video. For some reason when I tried to use the add video button it didnt work yesterday. I did use a couple of nicely modded vehicles in the video as I wanted something powerful and able to climb and jump. My first video, and I tried to keep the size small which resulted in poor quality. But I just want to get something out there. It only shows about a third of the map. Hope to release soon. I am just putting the url here as I could not add it through the add movie qizmo. Its a rough map.

Beta Released, quite a few changes since video was made. Anyway I enjoy just crusing around, the tumbler track is very rough. Download at top.

I noticed a few areas still lagged a little on my pc , if you set terrain basetex to 512 it helps some. I noticed this helps on most mods and I dont notice that much of a visible difference.
