(the desert map is gorgeous BTW)

After realizing that in order for the headlights to have light emitted onto the terrain (before it was only the headlight ON texture (ALSO, no high beam texture or flare currently...)) I have to put my lighting to at LEAST low setting, not lowest. On lowest, I get great FPS and it still looks good (to me at least, Im on a craptop btw) but I cant see anything, literally, at night, its Too Dark. After putting the settings up to LOW, I get the flares, and the emitted light onto the terrain, however my car turns "see through" (see pic above) and the FPS drops very dramatically. I know the FPS drops because of the lighting, but LOW should give decent FPS while Very High should cause a serious dip. I know again, its because of my crap top, but is there a way to get at least the car to not be see through? This happened on todays update, as well as the small update after the Pre-Race update came out. The lighting on the car itself is also very strange, on all the maps, when its dark, the car turns chrome, like all the color of the car disappears and leaves behind the chrome reflect map. once it fades to daytime, the color returns. ???

Also want to mention that I have not seen any error messages or anything, I was reading comments on the blog entry from today and a lot of people are experiencing DX issues, or what have you. Not me, at least lol Any ideas as to why this would be happening? ^^

My suggestion would be to run cleanup.bat, restart the game and see what happens. If that doesn't work, run the updater again. If that doesn't work, contact someone who knows what they're doing.

It's not specific to today's update, it's been happening since the 0.3.1 came out. I'd recommend trying a 100% clean install.

    Mega bump, sorry!

    Was able to replicate!

The problem seems to be with custom antialiasing methods forced through your video card drivers. So far I've only tested on my AMD system, I'll test with nVidia when I get back to that PC sometime next week.

Enhancing application settings works but doesn't do much, I'd just set it to use the application's settings.
