We've already got quite a handful of cars, but I was wondering if there's a planned roster, or like a goal for having a lot of cars before release. I doubt it'd be like a hundred cars before release, obviously, but I wonder if you guys have a set goal in mind to reach. I know there was one car, a Soliad Wendover, but I don't know if that's still in the works or if it was scrapped. I don't know, just curious about what the vehicle roadmap for this game is. We've got like... what... twenty-five... twenty-six vehicles in the game as of now? Is there a planned amount for the future, like say, I don't know, thirty-five?
There was one, the soliad would be the last one in it. There probably will be another list too though.
Well they don't have to confirm specific vehicles specifically, just if there's a planned total number. And we're missing more types too, like minivans, modern-era muscle cars, modern-era supercars (like an early 2000s Civetta), etc. Then we've got brands like Burnside, Autobello, Civetta, Cherrier, etc. that would be cool to expand upon besides just having only one car in each of these brand rosters.
The old Over the Horizon blog in 2016 said they want to cover "every archtype" BTW, if we count the Vivace, Tograc, Roamer, Charro, and D-Series all as 1 vehicle each and include the Wendover (which we officially saw back in August) then the current roster sits at 29 vehicles
If the Wendover is gonna be the final vehicle for a while, that's a bit underwhelming. Don't get me wrong I'm still somewhat excited but I don't see it as something to finish with.
https://www.youtube.com/post/UgzNildDqY-Dnl_CAlF4AaABCQ The devs confirmed that they are working on the Wendover so it should be the next car in game. As for any other cars, I don't know but I think they would probably add at least a few more considering the game isn't even in Beta yet.
I would imagine they'll just keep making new cars and maps, probably even after the game fully releases, albeit maybe at a slower rate.
Car releases/remasters in the order I think is most probable: 1st Release: Gavril stuff (Remasters/Facelifts, Prerunner, etc), probably coming somewhere between Thanksgiving and just before Chistmas 2nd: Bolide Remaster, maybe mid-late February 3rd & 4th: Wendover release + LeGran remaster, early April Like CaptainZoll said, they'll probably keep releasing content afterwards, just at a slower rate. After all those are done I think they'll move on to cars that have been touched on but haven't been given full remasters despite the fact that they could use one, e.g. T-Series, Sunburst, Barstow, Moonhawk, I-Series, and maybe even the SBR. The modern ETKs are fine for at least another couple of years, assuming there aren't any huge changes in that time. I'm no expert on how the update schedule is so take this with a grain of salt.
As I mentioned before in another thread, the devs should come up with some vehicle concepts (say around 5) and allow us to decide what they should work on first. personally, I think there is a lack of modern utility vehicles especially European (Modern van, European truck platform, European bus).
