Cannot load game [SOLVED]

I have tried installing several times but no launch icon can be found. I located the source directory, found a file named "launcher.exe" and upon clicking it and selecting run as administrator, a blue loading circle appears but goes away and nothing ends up loading. Any ideas what could cause this?

Trying to launch the game now results in "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running. check your computer's system to see if you need an x86 (32 bit) or x64 (64 bit) version of the program, then contact the software publisher." I am running Windows 7, 64 bit.

The .exe files are corrupted. Try running the updater again with your antivirus temporarily disabled. Re-enable when the download's done, of course. There's a chance it doesn't have the freshly updated binaries on its whitelist yet and as a result blocked them from downloading fully to prevent a potential day zero attack. Pretty sure McAfee and Norton have both been reported to do this. There's also a chance the updater just botched the download, but that's significantly less likely.
