"More detailed guide on server configuration can be found on this wiki page (Insert link)" ? ? ? I haven't been able to find the guide for server configuration yet. It says the same "insert link" on the github as well.
How do I create a server? It wont run for some reason, it shows up for a split second and then disappears.
im dumb and cant figure out what anything about making a server means, so im just going to keep joining
No worries, not everyone has tried it before I'll try to explain it simply. Edit: Sorry for the small screens, didn't know it would turn out that way. Hope it's still useable.. 1. Move kissmp-bridge.exe into a directory of your choice. Mine is in "C:\BeamNG server" 2. Run kissmp-server.exe - Remember to allow it in the firewall! It'll prompt you the first time you run it. 3. A CMD window should open, looking like this: That means your server is running, yay! Now for configuration... (Close down kissmp-server.exe before configuring this) 4. You should now notice there has been added a "config.json" to the same folder where your kissmp-server.exe is located. For the next step, I recommend downloading Notepad++ as it's easier to work with but the normal windows notepad works fine too. 5. Open up config.json, there's two ways: Method 1. No Notepad++ installed: Double click on config.json, select "more apps" and then choose "Notepad" Method 2. Notepad++ is installed Right click, select "Edit with Notepad++" That's it! 6. Your config... This is your server configuration. Edit the values to change it. Here's mine as an example. I have just changed a few things. For the "map" names, you can find these under your BeamNG direcory directory. Example: ...\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\content\levels If I wanted it to be Small Island, I would enter "/levels/small_island/info.json" and so on. Please, don't set show_in_server_list to true if your ports are closed Note that no one other than people on your network locally can see this server, as we haven't opened any ports yet but that's a whole other talk. Lets test out the server locally first. 7. Run "kissmp-bridge.exe" and open up BeamNG. Select "Direct connect," enter "127.0.0.1" and then press "Connect" Note that 127.0.0.1 is just pointing back at your own PC, so only you would be able to do this. If everything turned out correctly, you should now be in game.
I have downloaded the KissMP file and I run bridge.exe, the window pops up and says 'bridge is running!', but I don't have the little box that I need to be able to connect to a server, I just have normal Beamng.
That's not how you install it. First of all, please remove every other mod from your mods folder, you won't be able to spawn them anyways. Second of all, the mod is the 'KISSMultiplayer.zip' file in the download archive, please use that.
Well it won't matter if they have other mods installed, they get disabled by KissMP when joining a server. See the video, you've put the wrong ZIP file in the wrong folder.
Mine there too. Why not? Still working. Bad Driver771 you have just wrong zip name. It should be same as in download archive.
