Hi! I am planning to upgrade my laptop's ram. If it still cant run well after the upgrade, I will just buy a new gaming laptop. These are the full specs before and after the upgrade: Before: i5-7200U Radeon 520 1x 4 GB DDR4-2133 500 GB HDD After: i5-7200U Radeon 520 2x 4 GB DDR4-2133 256 GB SSD + 500 GB HDD Btw I only plan to play on Grid Small Pure, Small Island USA and Jungle Rock Island. If it wont work well, I will just buy this laptop: Specs: Ryzen 7 4800h RTX 2060 2x 8 GB DDR4-3200 512 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD I'd be happy to hear from you all. --- Post updated --- The laptop is this Lenovo Legion 5 15 | 15.6" AMD powered gaming laptop | Lenovo Philippines
Probably about 20\30 FPS in Small Island USA on the low graphics preset. If you bought the new gaming laptop, you could probably get more like 60 FPS on the high graphics preset.
Yes. It supports DX 11. Although it could be running DX 12 because I have Windows 10 installed on this laptop.
I think you should probably go for the gaming laptop. My computer is faster then your laptop and it still runs BeamNG pretty bad.
I'd advise against buying a gaming laptop if you can buy a desktop. Desktops are more upgradeable, and don't thermal throttle after a month of moderate use. Plus, gaming laptops always have to be plugged in, so they're not even that portable.
Yes that is true. I was supposed to choose a gaming pc but I have to go gaming laptop right now because my room space is really small. In a few years im gonna have much bigger room space and by then hopefully I can have a gaming pc.
What you could do to make BeamNG run better is to run it in a window and minimize it. It'll look terrible, though.
I have tried that before. It doesn't look very nice. I also have decided that I'm gonna go for the gaming laptop. The 2021 model about to be released in about April-June next year with Ryzen 5000 Series and RTX 3070.
