It has elements of various early 60's American design features, some from a range of vehicles, but it's not specifically based on one car. Think of it as a competitor to contemporary Chevrolet, Ford and Chrysler fullsize sedans:D

Well, just like all of the other cars in Drive or even Grand Theft Auto, it's not specifically meant to be one vehicle. That said, it most resembles a 1962 Dodge Custom 880 in my eyes, but with a name inspired by a Chevrolet Impala (Bluebuck being a type of antelope). It's like the Grand Marshall; looks mostly like one car (Chevrolet Caprice) but has a name and some features from another (Ford Crown Victoria). 62 Dodge for comparison:

    That's not a 1962 Dodge..... That's a 61; the last of the Forward Look.

EDIT: What is that? 61 front end without fins? Export model? Enlighten me.

    It's a 1962 Dodge Custom 880. The story:
Chrysler hears via corporate informant that the new 62 Chevrolet is going to be smaller than the 61'. Even though the big 62' models are mostly finished, they are scrapped and a new, hastily designed flagship Plymouth/Dodge line is made from a stretched Valiant/Dodge shell. When they reach the marketplace, they end up realizing that the ' small Chevy' is in fact the Chevy II, and now dealers are offering mid-sized (comparable to the new Ford Fairlane intermediate) at full size prices. Both Plymouth and Dodge lose about a 1/3 of their sales in the first quarter, and Plymouth drops from fourth to eighth place in sales, so dealers cry out for a real full size to fight the (in fact larger) Impala and Galaxie. Enter the Dodge Custom 880.

A hobble of a new 62' Chrysler Newport (hence, no fins) and a 61' Dodge grill/bumper, it gets introduced in late February of 1962. It remains Dodge's "true" full size until Chrysler's new full size C-body is introduced in 66' and the full-sizers are renamed as Monaco.

TL;DR: 61' front end without fins.

So Gabester, you are going to have the frame design of an early/mid 60's Imperial right? So basically it can take on about 8 grand marshalls without bending? ;)

This is a 67 Imperial, but it's pretty similar in the front as a mid 60's imperial would be... Skip to 4:35

I mean, it is a Cadillac hearse, cough, junk in the front, cough. But still, Impin' ain't easy.

Lol, this guy is using the wrong end of his hearse xD

Idea: Put an especially large V8 in it and call it a Gavril Bluebuck "Grand Marshal," kind of like how the Chevy Caprice was originally a top-of-the-line Impala. Also, a fictitious Soviet luxobarge of similar design from the same era might be nice

That is an amazing idea. 440 cubic inches of push rod power!

Yes, soviet cars are wanted! Imagine racing this against a Gaz Chaika ripoff.

GAZ Chaika! Just what I was thinking! I might even model a modern interpretation of the GAZ-M13 ;) America vs. the USSR would make a great career mode chapter, where you race an American car against a Soviet counterpart, or vice versa.

We already have too many live axle RWD large American cars right now (Grand Marshal, Moonhawk, D-Series, H-Series). The next few cars to go in-game, now that we have slidenodes, will be mostly FWD and/or Japanese. After the Sunburst I'll probably put the 200BX in-game (it uses struts)

Just curious, what will the structural integrity of this car be like? The Bluebuck reminds me a little of a 60's Chrysler Imperial, which were legendary (and eventually banned) In demolition derbys due to their extremely durable truck frame. It would be cool to have a car with similar strength and durability as the Imperial in BeamNG.

Anyways the car looks great and I can't wait to see it in game. :D

I'll try to make it pretty beefy. No X-frame shenanigans like the '59 Impala. Probably somewhere between the notorious Imperials of the mid 60s and whatever an "average" car would be.

Can the Burnside be like one of those "notorious Imperials?"
