Most likely, but they rarely release updates on Fridays/weekends, so my hopes are not high for an update today.
of course everybody is more anxious than ever as maybe the majority of us due to covid are indoors and its getting too cold to really do anything outdoors...
Like I said, if not today, next Tuesday-Thursday. The odds of today are looking more and more slim by the minute, but I'll be ok if the update doesn't come out till next week. Gives me more time to delete any mods that are most likely gonna have problems lol
i really hope the update releases today. the game has felt a little boring lately. Is it just me or has this update taken longer than the other ones?
It really isnt likely, but all we can do is hope. The modding community has been a bit boring latley. Nothing to do!
while tonight would be very cool i reckon it's unlikely, although if they plan on releasing it before christmas i dont think they can wait much longer as deushorizon said they're gonna want to have time to fix all the major bugs that people find for a few days after the update launches in time for christmas. that's also why i think they're reluctant to release it on a friday since they wont wanna spent their entire weekend bugfixing
Here are some historical update release dates: (I used my own discretion with small/large updates) FRIDAY: 29 May 2015 0.4: Steam Early Access Debut: Added a lot of Misc. changes, particularly the revamp of all existing vehicles. FRIDAY: 18 Sep 2015 0.4.2: Adds Hirochi SBR4, as well as another massive parts update, highlights including sleeper cabs for the T-series, a new supercharger for the moonhawk, more Bolide wheels, and major handling improvements. SATURDAY: 31 Oct 2015 0.4.3: Adds Barstow and some props, but mostly major crash fixes. FRIDAY: 18 Dec 2015 0.5: Adds Pessima, multiseat, and tuning. (Burnside was added in the next large hotfix - which was on Wed Dec 30. While large enough to warrant its own entry, I left it out since it was so close in timing to 0.5.) TUESDAY: 9 Feb 2016 0.5.2: Adds ETK 800 and node grabbing. TUESDAY: 19 Apr 2016 0.5.4: Adds Utah, Miramar, and camera improvements. SATURDAY: 4 June 2016 0.5.6: Adds ETK K and more! THURSDAY: 23 June 2016: http://blog.beamng.com/something-is-still-on-the-horizon/ - I think they've done everything but career mode... FRIDAY: 22 July 2016 0.6: Adds ETK I, Couplers, Garage mode, some misc simulation things TUESDAY: 4 October 2016 0.7: Adds Campaign mode, ETK maps, misc part content, and misc physics WEDNESDAY: 21 December 2016 0.8: Adds Bruckell Legran, Rocky Start, more powertrain physics, fixed garage mode, adds Quickplay/Quickrace, and more. Also, I bought the game during this update, though I'd been following it since the release of Utah. FRIDAY: 14 April 2017 0.9: The release of the hopper, save/load, and more! (In my opinion, this update is what separated the old from the new; it's when the vision of BeamNG that we see today took shape, at least in my opinion. The majority of content that blows people away came out during/after this update.) WEDNESDAY: 9 Aug 2017 0.10: Revamps audio system completely, procedural generation (so that's what that basin was for...), and various menu/steering updates THURSDAY: 23 Nov 2017 0.11: Adds WCUSA, sirens, afterfire, thermals, repo, seq. gearbox, rev limiter, and so much more - this was arguably the most game changing update of BeamNG. TUESDAY: 3 Apr 2018 0.12/Update 12: Adds bus and related content, sounds, and track builder. FRIDAY: 13 July 2018 0.13: Adds Automation, sound reworks, and various improvements/fixes. That was the second steam game I ever got - Automation FRIDAY: 3 Aug 2018: Happy birthday, BeamNG - adds major improvements to FFB as a hotfix TUESDAY: 30 October 1985 0.14: LUGHT RUNNER! Also adds the following major improvements: Car hauler T-series, Track builder launch/improvements, scarecrow mod! Also I started typing full months for some reason THURSDAY: 20 December 2018 0.15: Optimizations, Piccolina, and Italy - which is still the best map in BeamNG in terms of performance and capacity. FRIDAY: 3 May 2019 0.16: Adds the eSBR, much needed improvements to Italy, and some audio support/improvements FRIDAY: 16 August 2019 0.17: Adds Bluebuck, Drag racing, massive level improvements to ECA, HIR, and Arenas, World Editor 2.0, and Traffic. 0.17.1 adds a much needed remaster to the Grand Marshall. MONDAY: 9 December 2019 0.18: Adds Utah remaster, better lighting, and level loading improvements, as well as a remaster to the first car ever added to the game - the D-series, in its first proper refresh. WEDNESDAY: 8 April 2020 0.19: Adds FCV, as well as Small Island Remaster, D-, Roamer, and H- series remasters continue. THURSDAY: 6 August 2020 0.20: Remasters Roamer, adds Port remaster, World Editor 2.0, and water physics. There ya go - each and every update since it was released on steam. --- Post updated --- True enough, but it has happened several times in the past.
Oh my God, you did this and put all this effort all for the forum? I am surprised and I love the fact that you did this, maybe we can find a date?
Most of them are at the start of the month. Also most of them are four months apart. We need to get a chart and put all the dates in, and see what updates were released when. Ill do it.
I numbered everything and made averages out of it... Based on universal trends, we're likely to get it on a Wednesday or Thursday. Based on the same data, this would likely be on the 14th or 15th of the month. So, basically, based on these numbers, my money goes to Tues-Wed of next week. But based on the December updates alone, it'd be a Saturday update on the 16th (yes, they don't match, I know.). With that, we have the following four fields: WHS (day) 14-16 (date) - MTW. The only one that meets all fields is Wednesday the 16. That's when the update will be based on historical trends, but that does not mean it won't be earlier or later. How I got here: Assigned a number to each day - Mon = 1. Then calculated the average. Then I used the date (since we already know for the most part that it will be December) to calculate the average calendar date. It came out with a range of three numbers each, not all of which correlated, then found the one that did.
