edit: just noticed the merc logo on the airbox. no longer sure about simplicity.

This car is about as simple as it gets, it's the build quality that's the defining factor for mb's made at that time.

Not a picture of my car, but the exact same. Getting my permit soon and full license in under a year and plan to drive it quite a bit. Has 120k miles IIRC. I haven't checked in almost a year.

sorry for the blurry picture, its an inline 4(?) cranking out 140 horsepower to haul around a Suzuki Aerio SX/Liana (depending where your from). now that i look at it, i should probably clean it. redlines at around 7500rpm. and so far has been extremely reliable. since its so underpowered it lets you have fun while doing the speed limit

2007 E63 AMG Wagon, 507 horsepower and around 460 foot pounds. It is fast and has a very high 7200 RPM redline, pretty good for a 6.2

Much more exciting than the daily drivers engine, a 3.0 V6 in a 2012 C-class.

I DID state that the engine is not stock. Engine replaced in 2000.

why did you replace it with a carbed engine? fuel injection is better, more power.

Carbed is alot simpler, no computer. Well, simple until the carb fucks up but thats pretty rare anyway. Also, mechanical fuel pump ftw, they never go.

A Honda D16Z6 from my ESi EG hatchback.
The valve cover needs a new paintjob soon enough :p Might also paint the exhaust manifold heat shield and put back on.
The torpedo wall is super shitty in the image. So is the battery and fuse box and everything. I've cleaned most of the engine bay more since this image was taken. Too bad the car is parked 5 minutes away so I cba to take a newer image :p
I plan on putting on an aluminium pipe for the intake tube and put a cone filter where the air resonator box is located normally (under the stock airbox filter). As I've said I plan on painting the valve cover at some point. Need to get a new valve cover gasket first though. Basically trying to tidy it up abit.

I stole pix from google. all my cars are filthy ATM.

2012 Mazda3 Sport 2.5 Sedan. 6 speed Manual. ~30k miles, and I also have a few bits added. I have a black/red CorkSport SRI, red batt. cable for my subs, and my Stealth HID kit:
    mazda3 enginebay.jpg
2012 Toyota Tacoma 4.0 TRD 5 Speed Auto. ~30K miles, and it also has a K&N filter (just the panel filter, no visual mods) and basically all stock. I even found one pic on google that showed my exact engine with the Barcelona Red (The mazda pic above is also the color of my car, Black Mica):
    2012 Tacoma Engine Bay.jpg
Here is a pic of the (now dead) Saab 9-5 2.3T (the actual powerful turbo, not the "LPT" version) 5 speed Paddle Shift Auto Sedan. Problem after problem (I did beat on it quite a bit) and now the car doesn't like my key transponder, turns out its gonna be another $1000 USD to fix the whole entire interlock/theft system. Its been sitting at my saab guy's lot now for 2 months. Took it off the road for now (hence why it is off my Sig), may just bring it up to David's Farm and beat the fuck outta it lol...also mine isn't blue, its bland boring gray/silver. And its a bit ragged looking. About 130K miles on the clock. I tell ya tho, this car moves like a bat outta hell when you put it in "sport" mode!:
    2004 saab 95 engine bay.jpg

And here is a pic of the 2005 Civic 5MT LX sedan I had. Another google image, but a basic D17A2 (I believe is the engine code, def a D17). Traded this hunk in for the Mazda. Got a whopping 500 bucks for trade in value (and I wor at the dealership I bought the mazda at lol). This car had about 110K miles on the clock when I traded it (and all different colored body panels, dents, scratches, but it ran like an absolute peach and took all the abuse I could throw at it with NEVER a problem):
    2005 CIvic.jpg

I have a 1990 Toyota Corolla 3 speed auto sedan DX with the 4A-FE engine, it sits at my mom's house, and I also had a 1994 MTX Taurus SHO (hence my name) a while back, that HAS to be the prettiest engine bay ever in existence!! I am about to buy another, but I am hesitant because I know the car's history and I know it's gonna be a piece, but wow, what a car.
    Corolla:
    1990 corolla.jpg

This SHO has the intake runners all powder coated and pretty...exactly the color scheme I was going for before I rolled that bitch 3 times and then sold it lol:
    1994 SHO.jpg

And that's my giant, spammy engine bay post. Maybe Ill get around to taking actual pics of my own cars. But for now, these will do :)
Fav car out of all of them HAS to be my Mazda, only cuz it has all the bells and whistles, but the quickest was most likely the SHO, although the mazda has an extra cog so the better gearing and 400 less pounds may make up for the 60 hp deficit. But o well.
