had the same issue on one pc, solved by deactivating all mods that had anything to do with the d series. addon packs engines and other mods. cleared cache again and had no problems anymore.

I've just deactivated waterproof intakes mod and that fixed it. Good thing I had very few mods.

This is what Ive dreamed someone would do to the d series shortly after playing the game the first time and let me say its been worth the wait! Incredible amount of detail in all the suspension. now I can finally pretend to be bj baldwin in the perfect truck for the job. Its a certified ripper!!!! 10/10 great work on the truck and thank you for making this beast!

Just updated the game and I can say I'm quite please with the prerunner and crawler! However, that comes with one major exception. There's no "off-road short frame" or even premade configs for the D10 2-door or 4-door in either prerunner or crawler.... I was super excited to build a D10 prerunner to bomb around Ghost's Desert map with.

Is anyone else having issues with the crawlers, not being able to lock the hubs?

I have to say I kind of agree that it doesn't handle jumps super nicely.

For the suspension I've made a few tests, and I think it needs is more bump damping (especially fast damping) on the second stage. I'm not sure what sort of figures they use IRL, but from messing around with the tuning of my buggy, you can get away with very high bump damping ratio in that zone if it's limited to the last couple inches of travel (which seems to be the case with the prerunner). This way you get a decently plush damper setting for most of the travel, with a lot of additional damping to keep larger hits (either huge whoops or jumps) from breaking your spine.

I also think the bump stops need a good bit more damping. That's also noticeable in the way the bump stops react on the rebound. If you look at videos of bump stops IRL, after it gets compressed, the bump stop usually returns to position much slower than the wheels do. On the pre-runner they seem to stay in contact with the axle pretty much at all times, which might also explain some of the bounciness on rebound on large hits, as the bump stop pushes the axle back downward. I tried raising damping but they went unstable, so they might need other adjustments as well :p

An other possible issue (which happened in 0.20 as well), is I think the tires might be compressing too much? At least compared to RL videos. An other factor is also tire pressure, which is at 15psi right now. From my searches back when I was tuning my buggy, it seems that pressures of 30+psi are pretty standard in desert racing, possibly to avoid excessive "rolling" of the sidewalls and excessive compression on jumps?

I've also had issues with the front wheels getting stuck in the fenders, resulting in various weird things like the wheels locking up on hard landings, or locking up (and often yeeting the headlamps) when turning at full lock.

Other than that I really love it, defintively going to steal parts of it for projects

as I said before, I totally agree. It bottoms out hard. And the fenders are getting annoying too. On top of that the vehicle doesn't seem to tip as much as in irl, may be hinting at something there. Unable to lift a wheel into the air.

Someone on an other discord I'm on got it to do that by messing with the suspension setup a bit.

Although part of the issue might also be that it has a bit too much anti-squat? I know it doesn't squat as much as the RL trucks seem to do, although that might be because the current anti-squat is more tuned for crawling?

I seems, the thing is horrible at handling jumps and feels more like the hopper crawler (I havent tried the d series version). And how about the spring rate? Can that have a role in this? Also, a bit off topic, but do you have a buggy or high speed offroader yourself irl?

Here is something cool I found: https://racer.com/2020/02/13/in-focus-jimco-ford-raptor-luxury-prerunner/
Also is it possible to move the engine and radiator back?

I think the current engine position is fine, pretty sure it would add a lot of complexity when it comes to keeping stuff compatible with the regular variants (including the interior)
